Been happening in my sport for decades. Mainly during Christmas break, and it comes with the hook of extra training.

What has Michigan done in football, this century, besides hire a coach(who btw does nothing but try to create exposure for the program)

Several other programs have dominated them in their own conference on every aspect.

If by everyone you mean the talking heads for the B1G. While they were slob knobbing for a rematch pretty sure the average collie football fan was not.

Fans didn't want to see it because they hate rematch games. Same with the LSU-Bama game. But a lot of people thought they were the two best teams.

I think it is a great thing and should be complimented. I also think Harbaugh is doing it for his players and not for the exposure.

Harbaugh has movie night in a recruits home, he'll even sleep over like a preteen if necessary, just to get a NLI.

He heads South with the team during Spring Break while Michigan is the frozen tundra. He gets all kinds of publicity for hosting camps in the talent rich South and when that gets banned, he makes arrangements to haul them overseas to one of the worlds largest tourist destinations.......Yeah he's all about his players, he'd never use it as a recruiting advantage.

I highly recommend high altitude training in the mountain (waterfall) regions of Costa Rica or Thailand.

JH was a successful NFL Coach, so he doesn't have to have the name recognition that other coaches crave. Ive read comments by his players that counters your assessment of his concern for his players.

I would say whatever city has this current distinction

These are young kids and once you are out of the country can the NCAA do anything about it?

I'd love it if my Gamecocks would go to Rome.

Helluva recruiting tool.

My wife's sister went to watch practice over there yesterday and sent us a bunch of pics. She and her husband are going to the scrimmage tomorrow I think. Anyways, she raved and raved about how nice Harbaugh was and what a good time the players are having.

Florida leaving the state is hard enough, how do you expect them to leave the country?

All the college kids are on Spring break in Fla and you want us to leave? Talk about not taking advantage of your environment.

Well, us too. On a per-campus basis, we're the richest school in the SEC.

We just don't have the stones to spend all that money on athletics, unfortunately.

I can only speak for myself, but I learned that literally the best place to spend spring break is anywhere except where everyone else is spending spring break. Traffic, crowds, crime, and all manner of malfeasance make spring break in Florida considerably less fun than it looks on TV.

2006, the start of the SEC national championship streak.

Had Michigan/Ohio State been earlier in the season, it would have been a possibility.
