Oh I totally get it. Last week I would have given UF a 1 after Arkansas whipped our arse. It goes up and down with every game and more so with the big wins or losses.

7-LSU. I firmly believe that if Les Miles would have removed the handcuffs from our offense, we would only have 1 loss right now, and looking at a very real shot at the playoffs. I think coach O played tight against Bama because he knew the job was his with a win, and if we had to play Bama again this year, LSU would put points on the board, and possibly beat the tide. Still not too bad though, firing the head coach early, and still looking at a possible Sugar Bowl appearance. It could have been far worse for the Tigers IMO.

10-Miles & his inept offense are gone
8-Post Miles, Coach O rejuvenated the team & fans & has made LSU football fun again
4-With all the talent on this team & the high pre season expectations, it's hard to be looking at best case scenario of 8-3. Thanks Alleva & Alexander for not pulling the trigger last year & dragging the inevitable out into this season. Another bama loss too.

6 right now, with a chance to get to 10
9 if we get to the champ game and 10 if we win.

VOLS - 6
Good: Wins over UF, UGA, likely win the East, all this despite insane number of injuries
Bad: USC loss, locker room drama, dislike of certain coaches (DeBord/Mahoney)

No but upsetting Auburn and GT will definitely end it on a positive note. Our Freshman QB has grown up a lot this season and our defense seems to be much improved.

I was still thinking you might view this season as a positive in general.
You have to understand the Kentucky football fan's plight. Basketball rules at UK so there aren't a lot of expectations for distant-second football. Our AD acknowledges this so he treats the football program like the Olympic sports; give them nice facilities and an inexpensive, middling coach and hope for a break-even program.
Honestly, I thought when Louisville became a P5 school and started skull-dragging some top programs that UK would respond with more interest in football. It hasn't happened so far and we're on a losing streak to the Cards. How could it get worse for a UK football fan?

LSU - 5
Not a disaster but very average results for the talent on the team.
The Auburn and Wisconsin results could have gone either way but losing helped eliminate Miles and that was necessary. The Alabama loss is probably a blessing in disguise given that the Cajun fans really love Orgeron in spite of his lack of impressive credentials.
If LSU ends up hiring a Fisher or Herman then the season goes to a 9. If LSU promotes Aranda then I'll put it at an optimistic 8. If LSU hires Orgeron I'll hope for the best but consider it a disastrous 2 at face value.

Alabama fans are happy, but it's pretty much NC or bust for expectations now.
Auburn has certainly exceeded preseason expectations, despite the UGA loss.
KY has been better then expected.
UT has been worse then expected
UF is about where most thought they'd be.
LSU fans trying to spin (at least) a 3 loss season and losing your HC midseason with that defense and LF7 as anything other then a disaster is not being honest.

I'll say an 8.5... looking at the difference between the team last year and this year is amazing. It's loaded with young talent, that Muschamp brought in, and will be getting even more young talent next fall. We have our QB in Bentley, our tailbacks in Dowdle, and Ty'Son Williams who will be eligible next year from NC, AJ Turner looks promising as a slot receiver/back type, Edwards, Dawkins, and Deebo look like studs with the potential for the 17 class to be even better... oline needs to pick it up.
Defensively, I'm amazed at the job muschamp and trob did. I really am. Took a defense giving up 32 a game and got that down to 20 in one year with the same people? I'll take that.
Plus a bowl game after a 3-9 season with a loss to the in state military school? Yeah, I'm happy.

Without Skai Moore and a razor thin secondary at that.

Yep I can see why South Carolina is pretty happy with things so far.
FWIW, here is the SEC media days predictions.

5 - Arkansas
I thought we would end up around 7-5 on the year and we are poised to either reach that number or hit 8-4.
Both offensive and defensive lines have been embarrassing. Austin Allen has been a nice surprise, though.

As of right now? Probably a 4
If we can win out than it goes up to a 6 or 7
