That year win we played Fresno State in the final and lost the series after winning game 1. 2008 maybe

Fresno State may have been the most cinderalla team ever to win a NCAA championship. I think they were a 4 seed in their regional.

Out of the 9 other times we went to the CWS but did NOT win it, probably '87 (Stanford hit a grand slam off Frosh Ben McDonald to win 5-4), and in 1998, when we made it to the winner's bracket but lost 2 straight to the Left Coast Condoms.
