Well we get a shout, unlike LSU, at UF in the SECCG, and we can. I was just saying that it would be nice to play like a 3 loss Tennersee.
It would also be nice to not have to play Florida every year. See what I did there?

You my friend are obviously of German ancestry, as that was the sad and pathetic excuse of butthurt Tiger Nation from last year. You are the first one to use it this year so congrats
It has to have an affect. Are you that stupid? I am not saying that you dont have a good team. I am saying that in order to go two years unbeaten in regular season play in this conference is a feat that can only be accomplished with good fortune and a little luck. You, and Florida for that matter, have two good teams in two years where the rest of the conference is sub par at best. Take off your Bama glasses and realize what is a FACT. It in no way diminishes any accomplishments. Jeez

We know that you guys think that. You piss and moan about it every year.

He may be. He forgets that he and many of his fellow Gumps allude to LSU's domination of the SEC West in the 2000's being due to "the darkest period of Alabama football."
Hypocrites.

WTF? Seriously, what does that even mean?

Being in the SECCG game, especially given the recent weakened state of the SEC-West, coaching changes, and LSU coming off a senior-laden title team that was chock-full of longtime starters..
It doesn't surprise at all, he did the same at LSU in yr two, in winning one quickly vs 2001's Tenn Rose/title contender..
Now, being unbeaten two straight regular seasons overall, even with the recent SEC mediocrity compared to it's normal parity state and strength levels, and in doing so with a largely undergrad roster..
As Eli Gold and Snake Stabler like to say of the Saban regime at Bama "Way ahead of schedule".

I was surprised by last year. Him doing it by the third year hasn't shocked me. I still think the talent is just getting better (were still catching up a bit in recruiting to Florida and to some extent LSU) but we have a monster of a schedule next year.

It is impressive, especially this year. I thought for sure that LSU would win this year's game, but, not so much. LSU and Auburn are down, but that's the way it works.

I understand the whole teams being down helps out other teams, but explain to me what you mean about the recent mediocrity of the SEC? The only two teams that aren't going bowling this year are MS. State and Vandy right?. How is that mediocre? I think the SEC did very well this year. We just beat up on each other.

The SEC West is not mediocre: the SEC East is weaker.

Do you really not see that Auburn and Tenn. are in a huge rebuilding stage?

I thought all us Bama fans expected to win a championship every year? That's what I've been told repeatedly.

Sans Bama, the SEC-West is medicore of late.
It just has more parity/balance per it's mediocrity, in contrast to the East, where Fla has taken their consistent regular greatness to an uber-dominant level of late, while UGA and Tenn have dropped from their usually consistent elite level play.
As good as Saban and Bama have been these last two years, they are doing it with a relatively young roster, with LSU's, Aub's, and Ark's recent drop in terms of their recent eras quality play these last two years, playing it's part in that Bama regular season sweep storyline.

Yes I realize that. They are 7-5 in rebuilding years and have a chance to win their bowl game and go 8-5. Not too shabby for first year coaches. All I am saying is I don't really understand how the SEC is mediocre when comparing to other years. When you guys had your run winning the West, there were teams you played with bad records in the SEC as there were teams that had good records just like with us, right?

And as usual, old geezer 59 never misses a chance to lie and try and flame me. You got a link where I ever said this?
I do say that LSU's dominance in this decade is directly attributable to CNMFS. And as we watch the fall under Mess, and Bama's rise under CNMFS, it is confirmed.

I bet that you don't know that the SEC goes .500 against itself every year.

Mere W-L columns don't tell the sophisticated tale.
