Still with the Kentucky spin.

To deny that it was between Kentucky and LSU for Smart is ridiculous. You should stop lying.

So Quickley and Grimes had Kentucky offers but the guy who didn’t have one is the guy they wanted bad enough to pay. Makes perfect sense.

It is a level I NCAA violation to offer extra incentives to recruits

Like starting immediately or getting to chose your number first? Looks like everyone is fricked.

just a hell of a lot of pictures of wads of cash, "jersey signings" and dining with a booster, and pics in front of shiny new vehicles...............before the first stipend is ever paid out.

Why are you dropping the extra part? If one recruit is offered something other recruits aren't is that an extra benefit?

playing time and jersey number is not an illegal benefit, but I am sure you know that. You are making a dumb argument trying to justify what your coach has on tape.

So the answer is no.

"Wads of Cash" pics always happen the week before school starts, because they are always Pell Grant checks getting cashed. Most of the time it's like $500, sometimes a little more.

Jersey signings? That obviously has nothing to do with cheating to get a player on campus. I'm not going to say $100 hand shakes and shite don't happen at all schools, I understand why it's against the rules, but it's not really "cheating". Paying players to come to your school is cheating.

dining with a booster,

This is easily within NCAA rules, just have to get it approved which is easy.

Most of the time the pictures are used cars, and getting a loan for a car is not hard. Is your credit that bad? Outside that, vehicles are probably the most monitored things by all schools. You'll likely never see a school get in trouble for cars these days.

The stipend is not a big deal. Even before they started giving that out, about $21,000 a year in legal money was available to the players. This would include Pell Grants as I mentioned, other forms of assistance and in many cases the schools can just give them money. Gas money to travel, clothing money, even money for off campus living.

Furthermore, they are still eligible for student loans.

Of course he did. I've never said that he didn't.

Here is the thing...........most HC's aren't the ones making the offers. They have people doing that for them. A "shield" so to speak.

And that's what makes Wade an idiot in this. He should never have been the one on the phone. There has to be a buffer.
