I'm not sure they beat anyone. Charleston Southern is a decent 1-AA team

Frankly, I'm just hoping against hope that something will "click" at some point. We were always going to be down this year, but there's no way we should be quite as bad as we've been so far. Something's off and, the imposition of an unsuitable defensive scheme for the personnel aside, I'm damned if I can figure out what it is.

I know what's off. Your perception that other than the past two years your program has any relevance in football. Your weak cupcake OOC opponents have been hand picked to try to pad your W column. You won against teams with major injuries. And somehow these two things translated to your delusional fanbase thinking they had a chance at winning an SEC title.

So this year balance returned to the equation and that "off" feeling is just your return to being normal Vanderbilt. Kind of like that uneasy feeling that precedes the gurgle in your stomach indicating an onset of a two day bubble guts episode. Of course, that would be the only explosive thing Vandy produces this year.

So many lulz.

Who would have thought 15 years ago that Vols would be reduced to belittling Vanderbilt fans?

I dunno, who would have thought three years ago that Vandy actually would have posted back to back winning seasons for the first time in almost 40 years?

Difference being is some teams are allowed the swagger in winning records because they are historically good programs. You Bama tards for example have a historically good program and can swagger a tad. On the other hand, Vandy fans acted like complete douche idiots when they won and talked a lot of shite for a program that was one season away from being Same Ole Vandy.

Damn. It's been a demoralizing few years for y'all, hasn't it? Your rage is kind of oozing out at the seams there.

I doubt he'll be around to do it much longer. I'm guessing he just decided to start posting in the euphoria of beating Utah State and Arkansas State. I give him until TSIO at the very latest before he returns to the woodwork.

Yeah, because I posted so much to start with...

You all have any more Vandy hats and shirts you want to give away? I know a few African orphanages that could use some extra clothing.

I only have a few, and I'm keeping them. Unlike you, Vandy fans aren't fair-weather fans.

Hiding behind your rivals? I was only noting that this guy came out of the woodwork once y'all beat a couple lower-level teams and will likely return once reality sets in. Not my fault it'll likely happen around the mid-point of the season.

Oh silly Dore, I tend to lurk quite a bit and post very little on this particular site. 15 posts in a year. And funny that I started posting around TSIO last year. So your theory I only come out after our initial games is pretty much tarded to say the least.

south carolina. they are back to their ways of being a middle of the road team

Calling Carolina's history "middle of the road" is being extremely generous.

Really? That's your retort? You don't actually know how words work, do you? I just said you came out of the woodwork. Since you had only a dozen posts or so during the time Tennessee was being brutalized, it's a fair characterization.

But enough about you and your impotent rage. Let's talk about me instead, since I'm a wonderful and warm person who is a friend to all mankind and some Vol fans. I like long walks on the beach, cherry cordials, and watching you get flustered by a Vanderbilt fan talking about his own team even when his team sucks. Do I have a chance with you? Do opposites really attract?

No and they won't come close. They'll make 0-8 2013 Arkansas look like a powerhouse. I think a better question is "Will Vanderbilt score a TD against an SEC team this year?" I'm guessing no, though Kentucky might screw up enough to allow a late score. I doubt it.

If anybody ever wondered about just how much effect a coach could have, Vanderbilt should be exhibit 1.
