I expected an offense similar to those USC offenses.

I think 2 things have hindered that

(1) Drake's injury
(2) sub-standard OL

Don't think he's terrible, but he hardly qualifies as a "stroke of genius" hire based on evidence to date.

You have fired 2 better OCs, and just have a ton of talent and a defense that can keep pretty much any team low enough for 25-20 points to win.

Major Applewhite deserved to be fired - and Saban didn't think Nuss was creative enough, especially after Kiffin came in as a consultant and questioned why the hell Henry wasn't getting any touches... So Applewhite was not better than Kiffin and Nuss was good but not creative.

Are y'all measuring his genius because of performances against, as you call them, "subpar defenses"?

If anyone thinks the reason we haven't been scoring points this year is because of Kiffin, then they haven't been watching our games. Kiffin has done a great job all year and in every game.

I mean looking at it now, its clearly because he was the third best back

If not for ridiculously impressive defensive performances, the offense would have cost them the Arky, LSU and Miss St games, no?

I guess we will never know.

I think his point was Auburn falls in line with those defenses and we have done whatever we wanted to against them. Though I wouldn't categorize Florida or Tennessee as substandard.

so why do you think it's a stroke of genius hire? Because they aren't losing games for you? I wouldn't call 10 bubble screens to Cooper per game a creative way to get your best player involved. Everybody does bubble screens these days.

I wouldn't call it a stroke of genius, but I think it was a really solid hire that took a ton of balls to make given all the hoopla surrounding Kiffin.

I don't know what you are talking about with bubble screens. We've probably run 10 of those max since we started SEC play. Those haven't been a key part of our offense since the Southern Miss game in September.

I got the swipe at Auburn's terrible D. Can't argue that it's a matchup that favors your offense. I'm just trying to figure out why he's a genius hire based on what y'all are on offense now compared to previous years. I thought your offense was better the last 3 years than it is now.

Our offense had a more trusted QB and a better OL those years.

This year had neither, though very talented skill players. I would be terrified with Nuss in charge of this collection of players.

In light of the fact that Saban hired him with his baggage and Bama is now the committee's #1 ranked team - it was a solid hire.

What bubble screens? Have you been able to watch any Bama football since we played Fla Atlantic?

Stroke of genius? perhaps...as shitty as a person he is perceived to be in most places...he has put himself in an awesome position and is so far making it pay. On the other hand I couldnt give him genius status just for the simple fact that I dont honestly believe he has had any control whatsoever on his current coaching status..not his achievements! just his current position/location whatever. Just feels like hes backed into everything. Starting from his birth by a NFL coordinator. Probably no one will read all this so il say one last thing. The best saying for our lifetime in my opinion is "If you ain't gettin hated on...Then you ain't doin shite!" So hate him or love him, hes ballin!

Honestly, the most impressive thing Kiffin has done is this :

1. Blake Sims : 155.6
2. Bo Wallace : 155.3
3. Kenny Hill : 154.6
4. Hutson Mason : 150.6
5. Dak Prescott : 150.1
6. Nick Marshall : 144.3
