Funny I seem to recall alot of bama fans calling for his head with about 52 seconds left in the LSU game.

Maybe they were, but I don't know any of them. Everybody I know thinks he's done a solid job.

I personally think Kiffin has been boom/bust this season. He has had some really good games, but the LSU and Ole miss game I think he sucked. If it werent for Kiffin I think yall beat LSU by 10+ in regulation

Right. No way their combined W-L record could ever equal Lane's.

we had 400 yards at Ole Miss. It wasn't a fantastic game, but it wasn't a poor offensive performance.

10 points is a poor offensive performance. tRant (deservedly) makes fun of LSU's sucky offense, but they scored 10 against OM as well.

OTOH, AU's "gimmick" offense scored 35 against that same defense.

Without Kiffin Blake is probably running every 3rd play and throwing 2 INT's a game.

So while we have had games where things didn't work, we haven't had any games where our QB gave away the game. And that is all because of Kiffin.

So, what's the basis for all the adulation over Kiffykins?
Took a very questionable QB that looked atrocious in the spring game and made him a decent QB behind a not so great oline. We've had injuries to the center, LT and lost one of our best RB's and still look decent on offense. Kiffin is no genius but he obviously ain't a program killer or poison either.

Arky and LSU were our only "poor" offensive performances

LSU's D was great in that game and it was in death valley at night. I knew before the game we were going to struggle.

Arky has proven to have a good defense this year and it was raining that entire game.

I disagree. Yall ran the ball well against LSU, but Kiffin refused to allow that to work. He had to have his QB throw it 40+ times. He has a little bit of stubbornness in him

We bogged down inside the 40's. Things didn't work. It was Blake's first road game, Kelly got hurt and we had to turn to Bozeman, Drake snapped his leg. We didn't respond well and didn't make plays.

I didn't think Kiffin called a bad game at all in Oxford. The only gameplan of his all year I haven't understood was at LSU with Blake throwing 40 times mostly on dropback passes. His gameplan at Arkansas wasn't terrible Blake just had issues throwing and our line was miserable.

Ranters pointed their fingers and laughed. Saban again proves himself to be the smartest coach maybe ever. I'm pretty sure Telefax agrees.

You have fired 2 better OCs, and just have a ton of talent and a defense that can keep pretty much any team low enough for 25-20 points to win.

I do agree with this part. LSU is the only game all year where I've really questioned his gameplan.

But more times than not our line has been very suspect in getting push in the run game (Arkansas, MSU, Ole Miss post-Kelly injury) and he has had to be creative to make things happen.

The O-line/run game issue is the sole reason we have these letdowns in 3rd quarters and struggled to put State away. It's frustrating, but it's a personnel thing.

Am I missing something? Alabama seems to be fielding a pretty average offense thus far this season. If not for ridiculously impressive defensive performances, the offense would have cost them the Arky, LSU and Miss St games, no?

Pretty sure we didn't fire McElwain, and I'm guessing your 2nd OC wasn't Major Applewhite.

And we will just have to agree to disagree on Nuss.

Just put down the Kool-Aid and back away before it's too late.

I expected an offense similar to those USC offenses. I haven't seen that yet. Y'all are #1 because of an improved defense, not really because of the offense.

I agree with this statement. I don't know why we forced the pass so much in that game. I'd like to see more balance in games like that. But I can't argue with the end result.

Don't know what the Kool-Aid is. We are happy with what Kiffin has done, would love for him to stick around. Think Saban feels the same.

If you think he is terrible that should make you happy.

He was ok, but he had some miserable moments in huge games. First half of 2012 SECCG vs UGA and 2nd half of 2013 game vs Auburn are the main culprits.

Not mention our last drive against Texas A&M in 2012.

I agree. However against subpar defenses we get rolling quick. aTm, UF, Tennessee. Seeing Auburn the past couple weeks gets me excited.
