Not a snowball's chance in Hell. You're about to get hammered.

Football MAY go on probation for a year two, but I seriously doubt it. There will be no scholarship reduction or post season ban. Basketball gets one scholarship taken away max.

Most people around the Tennessee program feel that football is in the clear. Media, Coaches, Administration

USC is going to get hit harder than UT, you can bank on that.

So, your argument is that Tennessee had good institutional control? Now that's wishful thinking.

There is also a problem with your Baseball team. That is the big three in mens sports. LOIC is on the way. De-nile is more than a river.

I hope the Admin does away with that non sport anyways.

I'm just saying the penalties aren't going to be as stiff as everyone here like to think they are.

As Jed posted, hopefully the sport is banned from campus.

I’m not sure what you are arguing but I'll be the first to say that if something is going on at Arkansas without proper oversight then I say we get what is coming to us. Obviously, you are biased because Tennessee is your school but I don't think the NCAA will agree with you that the University of Tennessee Athletic Program is under control. And if you are really honest with yourself, you can’t either.

In fact a very good case can be made that there is little to no control over what has been going on at Tennessee. Regardless what you or I think about the matter I believe the NCAA will find the dreaded "Lack of Institutional Control" in your Athletic Department and you will be made an example of.

The people who broke this baketball story (VolQuest) disagree. And who really cares about baseball, it'd be best for everyone if the program is dissolved.

Again, I'm not sure exactly what you are arguing but just answer one question with a yes or no. Is there good institutional control in the University of Tennessee Athletic Program? If you answer the question honestly then you will have your answer as to how the NCAA will view it.

What does your school president have to say about the direction of your sports program?

I'm I the only one that kind of likes the direction UT took with this punishment? Punishing the people responsible and not the players, now we have to see if the NCAA is what they say they are.

What is the athletic dept. going to do with all that money they saved by docking Pearl? If they keep it, their coffers are just fuller and UT wins in the long run (some punishment)! If they donate the total amount to a non UT related charity, then I think it is a very appropriate punishment.

We don't currently have a full time president. That is why Hamilton is still around. Our most influential booster's (Jim Haslam; founder of Pilot gas stations) son is about to become governor of the state. Once that happens their family will choose a president who will do what they want. We will most likely fire Hamilton after the President is hired.

The NCAA doesn't view or handle most matters logically. Trying to deal in logic when dealing with the NCAA is not a good method. Once again, the people who broke this story do not believe much, if anything will be done to the football program. The penalties, and subsequent dealings with the NCAA are not serious in nature.

UT not going to get hammered.

Most then anything, they will add on what the administration did, more time not allowed to recruit off campus and possible scholly reduction (one to two).

Do not lie to the NCAA...and I find it odd, they where looking at Pearl and that program for 17 months.

Vol fans, do not want to hear shite ever about Cal.

As a LSU fan living in LowerAlabama I remember my bama friends saying the same thing. I also remember USC saying the RB deal was no problem.
When you get a letter from the ncaa you don't know what is going to come down, but you know it ain't going to be good. Just saying...
PS. Once they start looking you never know how big a turd they may trip over...
