I love how someone starts a thread and instead of discussion, opposing fans attack the OP's favorite school.

This thread really isn't worthy of any kind of discussion. It's just something else to ridicule.

Most would agree that both had terribly disappointing seasons last year.

Both are tremendously talented. Driskel is younger and thus has more time to reach his potential. I'd rather have Driskel.

throwing for 1600 yards in a season is pretty bad.

Mett is a better thrower, Jeff is a better runner.

Tanked big time? That's a little harsh for a first time starter in the SEC. He threw for over 300 yards against the national champions.
Considering your an Fla fan I'm assuming this post is seeded in his Fla performance, which yes wasn't the best. But in all honesty, the whole offense couldn't do anything that day.
I think Mett is primed for a very solid year.

he improved as the season went on... unlike driskel.

Yeah, Mett threw for more yards than Flynn did in '07, and we had less talented receivers last year.

OP is stupid.

Driskell had the same amount of TDs as Mett

He had more if you count rushing TDs

Yeah, Mett only had 12 TDs, which is pathetic, but we had no deep threat. All our touchdowns were on the ground.

Driskell had 1600 yards. That's Jordan Jefferson 2010 bad.

This is where I figured out that you were an idiot.

Absolutely no one that knows anything about SEC football would say that UF is definitely a loss. Just like a LSU fan would be an idiot if he said that game would definitely be a tigers win.

You are not very good at this

You can say the exact same for Driskel, though.

Yeah, if passing yards is the only stat you're using.

in 2010 JJ ran for 450 and 7 TDs

in 2012 Jeff ran for 413 and 3 TDs

Jeff is the white JJ

If you're completely disregarding completion percentage, touchdowns/interceptions, QB rating, etc, you might be right.

And either way, 2009 JJ > 2012 Mett.

Driskell is slightly better than Mett given individual statistics.

I still wouldn't take him, and definitely not this upcoming season.

Driskel got hurt, Brissett was a cancer that had to go. He will suck at NC State unless he changes his attitude. Grier is the future at UF. No problems for UF LSU's future QBs on the other hand:
