that's strange, I categorize Kentucky as a southern state and missouri as a Midwestern state and I've been to each many times. of course, if you're from tejas, any state must seem northern. other states just don't seem to have the preponderance of tin foil hat far right wingers as tejas (except Arizona of course).

You're correct, Missouri is a midwestern state, but with alot of southern influence throughout.

I'm visiting Missouri and I totally agree. People here are as nice as any folks I've ever met anywhere in the South.

Agreed, although southeast missouri is pure Dixie. Cotton growing, grits eating, swampland, heavy southern accent having Southerners. My friend from the boot heel calls me a Yankee all the time in her sweet little accent...it's cute
