Whether Auburn fans will admit it or not if Auburn hadn't violated Tubb's contract it is likely he would have stayed on and assuming he turned things around been at Auburn a couple of more years. The AD didn't have the backing to fire him (beat Bama or not) and he generally liked Auburn but didn't like a few key leaders.

Violating the contract gave him a golden parachute and it is possible it was violated because some wanted him gone.

In 1912, I believe it was, we didn't give up a point. The next year we won all of our games and gave up 13 points and scored 224 on the season. We don't "claim" those. We have had seasons where one poll or another named us NC. They weren't the AP or UPI so we don't "claim" them. Again, if your school chooses to "claim" them, enjoy. If you think only two times a poll has named Auburn NC, then you are extremely misinformed.

It was in 14, and you didn't even finish first in your conference that year because you had muschamps offense and didn't score against UGA. UT finished untied and undefeated.

I bet we didn't finish third and "claim" one.

Alabama doesn't claim all of theirs either (see 1945, 1966, 1975, 1977).

Alabama and Mississippi have a similar situation. One of the in state Coaches becomes dominant and the other one gets run off.

Lose to Bama this year and Malzahn is coaching for his job in 2016.

Auburn will always have lil bro syndrome because they aren't the cornerstone university in the state.

But anyone who thinks the football history of Auburn is better than the history and tradition of UA is delusional or an Auburn fan or...well...both.

Surely it didn't take 10 pages for you guys to start throwing this around did you.

your school is great, your team is great. Do you have affirmation you need now?

I don't think posting in a thread about auburn's coach, started by a bama fan with the handle antibarner is the best place to break out the little bro rhetoric. Do you?

I don't think he's trolling. It appears he's just nuts.

Lose this year and the grumbling starts. Lose next year for three straight and they will be looking for a new coach.

That would be 4 of 5 and it took a miracle to keep it from being 5 straight.
