Could be. Don’t know what the roster will look next fall or the depth chart . I could see a 10-2 playoff appearance or a 9-3 , 8-4 (hopefully worst case) in his first year with a difficult schedule . We still happy with the hire . offense will be fun to watch

We accepted 6 losses from Saban in year one.

His first season? Sure. New coaches often have a few bumps their first year. Will we like it? No. But it will be accepted by the vast majority. There will be some nutjobs that complain about anything. Heck, there is an Alabama fan on this very board that was bitching about Saban and saying it was time for Saban to go. And now that Saban is gone, he is bitching about Deboer. There are always going to be idiots like that.
Now if he consistently goes 8-4 for several seasons, then he will have issues.
