but it was pretty well thought he would take over when Mack Brown left...
Problem with that theory is that Mack Brown was forced out. He was going for DKR's record, no way he would have stepped down in time for Boom.

Muschamps seems like a really smart, good football coach.
That's why I'm hoping he doesn't get fired until Ellis Johnson retires and he can come back to AU as DC.

Spurrier back to Florida for one last ride off into the sunset

Oh and when you post in every UF thread about coaching, that's obsessed.
Two things:
1. Maybe I am being an early vulture, that is my thing (I thought Pinkel would be fired by now in Spring 2013). But if yall lose next week I won't be the only one.
2. To be fair to me, this is a UF coaching change thread. Its not like I am bringing up yall's cheapness in some Ole Miss thread.

much to my surprise it wasnt anyone on this board or any idiot for that matter. this came from UF alum in-laws. they say there are some vocal & influential groups emerging against him. guess we will just have to see how it shakes out. I couldnt care less honestly. only way the news of anything UF coaching that will get my attention is if they hired Spurrier back.

It's not interesting at all really. We are 4-1 with hope at the East still. We are only good QB play away from really getting after it.
Don't know about that.
Your defense, which is supposed to be your calling card isn't even rated in the top 50 and I don't see many playmakers on offense.
You are 4-1, sure. Credit for actually winning and all, but you really should have lost to UT and UK. Have gotten really fortunate with some play clocks, and were more or less outplayed in both games.

Outplayed? By what measure?
Why do I get involved with Yankees?

Glad you'll be disappointed then.

Driskel has been below average in all schemes. That is why UF is struggling on O. The OL/RB play is the best it has been in years, but the QB completes 40% of his passes and turns it over constantly.

Why exactly? he has made mississippi into the number 3 team in the nation... you dont think he could do that with florida?
