Not sure what you are so insecure about but nobody GAF really. I don't like public displays of affection from heteros or homos, and I am all for more gays especially dudes because it gives me a better chance with the ladies and I need all the help I can get. So take it to the off-topic board please. Thank you

The fleur de lis is very strongly associated with New Orleans and Louisiana, so it is a natural association. That would be like me being a cowboy fan and being upset that people didn't know I was a Gator.

They're referring to O'Sullivan as their elite target.
A coach would be crazy to leave Florida/the SEC for that fiasco.

I know you hate Texas but get past that for a minute. Regardless of what is going on there at the present moment, it is a top 3 job in college baseball. Texas pays better than Florida and the program receives more support than the baseball program does at Florida

My post got 30 downvotes and many direct replies. So you are wrong on that point.

Then I don't why you even bothered to respond to me.

The day "Aggies are gay" is no longer a Rant talking point is the day I promise to never ever talk about homosexuality on this forum ever again.

Since that day will never come, I am working on some new material. Did you know the lead singer of Green Day is gay?

CBB, you are missing the point.

Every school has gay students. Gay people are everywhere. I'm for letting them get married, adopting kids and having the same rights as straight citizens. Most people feel this way.

However, A&M is this weird amalgam of overtly conservative (and anti-gay) political views and esoteric homoerotic traditions. Traditions which involve public homo-eroticism, often involving fire and dead animals. This is not hyperbole.

It is on A&M to resolve this odd duality. Until then, you will continue to be a joke.

So is Texas A&M and the New Orleans Saints.

The reason the Saints colors are black and gold is because those are the colors of the oil industry. aka Texas Tea.

Also if Rita ever kills off Tom and Gayle an Aggie will run that franchise.

First of all I always make sure I have something Texas A&M in my avatar or sig.

Secondly they only way I would guess you are a UF fan was if I saw you with a Yankees cap on.

Name an actual A&M tradition involving fire that isn't related to the annual Aggie Bonfire that went from 1909-1999.

OK back to humor, now you are catching on. Jokes are jokes and very welcome here. Serious political discussion is for another board. Good job!

That used to be the way it was in the Big 12- a duality. In fact Big 12 fans didn't really know us as "gay" so much as we were "weird." And on that point, the shoe fits. I won't even debate it, we are weird.

My whole issue is that duality intellectually decomposed when A&M joined the SEC. The massive narrative of "what an Aggie is" that Longhorns put together over a century required too much nuance and patience for SEC Rant fans to correctly parse, so instead they decided to take a mental shortcut.

The duality was lost, and the narrative was boiled down: Texas A&M has male cheerleaders so therefore they are gay. Period. End of story. Dead dogs and shite like that just get added to the same gay pile, because to a southern redneck the word gay is still synonymous with "sexual pervert."

In that process the redneck mental midgets of this forum exposed themselves to a new duality- they want to call us gay (not the correct "weird") because of a childish interpretation of our school's culture but at a personal and political level these same southern folks embody the sort of homophobia that defines a lot of the modern conservative image. That is where I come in.

If they want to call us gay that is fine, I am happy to embrace it and work to desensitize redneck southeast America to gayness.

People who don't want conversations about homosexuality on this board should admonish the rant to drop the infantile "you're gay aggy" insult. As long as that insult is ubiquitous on this board, you can expect aggy to respond by embracing the insult. You might also be aware that the embrace of the insult is done with the intent of mocking those on the board who make use of that specific pejorative.

Aggie students would get in a group and ejaculate into jars that went on top of the bonfire. I've been told that private bonfires have occurred post 1999.

There was the whole thing recently about aggie students killing dogs, ejaculating on them, and posing them on the field where the marching band practices.

The point of this forum, at its very core, is to rustle fellow SEC fans.

Some get rustled when you tell them their coach is a cheater, and some get rustled when you don't "learn your role" and take a childish cutdown from them without forcing them to explore the actual homophobia behind the cutdown. I go with what works.

Some of you live on a three way intersection of stupidity, ineptitude at ascertaining truth, and total lack of ability to comprehend indirect communication.
