I don't think you know what "fact" means.

Is the same place LSU stashes the secret playbook? That's some funny stuff there.

I love how Auburn fans get their panties in a wad about my post. They also think I'm putting them down saying they'll go 8-4 when they admit that if they had gone 8-4 last year, they would have been ecstatic.

What you don't understand about what I'm saying is that Auburn could be a better team this year than last year and STILL go 8-4. Have you heard of the SEC West at all? Oh, and don't forget you're playing UGA and SC from the East this year. Everybody's really really good. Other than Alabama, there is no other clear cut contender. Period. What some fans of other schools hang their hats on is that AU won some tight games last year and not to expect the ball to bounce that way again. What AU fans who are close to the program are saying is, AU will not have to depend on the ball bouncing their way this year to be very good. The fact that the Defense is going to be better is not even factoring in most fans expectations.

If everyone truly believed this they wouldn't be so worried about it and feel the need to make threads with excuses for why Auburn can't really be good everyday. All these threads tell is that the poster isn't convinced and needs everyone else to reassure them.

Its gotten so bad and they've gotten so desperate that they now want to count close games as losses and try to claim everything else(kick returns, fantasy penalties, 2 minute drives, etc) was just luck. These things have happened to teams for years as part of the game but now we're supposed to change it because haters can't come up with a legit reason for why Auburn can't be good.

So, you think a QB that got to campus in August mastered the whole playbook by the end of the year?

I still don't see them losing any more than 2 regular season games next season.

They absolutely own SC and they get A&M team minus Manziel at home.

I believe so.

Blowout loss to LSU

That was before their offense got going VS W. Carolina. After that point there was a huge difference in that team.

Speaking of MSU, I see Mississippi State being this year's Auburn.

Let me know when they come anywhere close to as talented as Auburn.

Yes, I know, tl;dr. But, it seems that Auburn is really being considered one of the elite teams of 2014, with the likes of teams like Alabama, Mich. St., Oregon, Stanford, FSU, etc. and that seems absurd to me.

Why? Did you see an offense even close to as good as Auburn's?

So did Notre Dame 2013.

Manti Teo and Everrett Golson played last year?

Theo Riddick? Cierre Wood? Tyler Eifert? Zack Martin? Zeke Motta?

Yes. It's a simplistic offense. That being said- very very hard to stop because of the speed and efficiency in which they run it.

Gus didn't let Marshall start running the option until after the LSU game. LSU still only faced a piece of the offense and still gave up 400+ yards. Auburn and Marshall were a lot better at the end of the season than when they played LSU. LSU will see this year what they dodged last year.

Agree. But LSU did win, so they earned their year of trash talking. I do look forward to the manner in which we will take it away from them, however.

Ole Miss was really when they let Marshall loose running the ball... and he sprained his knee late, or something like that.

There is a fine line between going 12-1 and 7-5, and Auburn walked it last year.

Yes, they could have finished 7-5. but they didn't. They showed HUGE improvement over the previous year, and they return a ton of starters. So, yes, I think Auburn could do what thye did last year.

I LOVE to troll, and Auburn is one of my favorite fan bases to troll. All this honest posting I have been doing lately is turning into a bad habit.

He still didn't have the whole playbook installed. They put in more and more every week, but for a brand new QB to have 100% of a playbook installed in 1 year is just unrealistic.

Auburn is not Auburn of history.

Auburn has the best offensive mind in football running the show.
Auburn is working harder this off-season than they did last year.
Auburn has the best returning QB in the SEC and the best offensive line in the SEC.

Auburn is going to DESTROY the SEC this year.

No more slow learning the playbook (wash st, missy state).
No more letting our foot off the gas and letting teams come back on us (georgia and bammer).

No more stiff dew limitations (lsu-kidding of course).

Auburn is going to shock all of you.

This time next year, after we are done polishing our second consecutive SEC title, you will know who runs this show.

Gus runs this show and you are gonna have to deal with it.

I could see AU losing 2-3 this year simply because they have a tough schedule and they will be the hunted instead of the hunter this year. They will be circled on more than one SEC schedule. Plus they have to go to UGA and Bama without Cam.

They sure seemed lucky in some of the games in 2013 but that viewpoint was shaped by how utterly shitty they were the year before last. They were in every game they played last year, exception LSU. Chips just may not fall their way a couple of times this year. They'll still be hell on SEC d's.
