Exactly. If you don't recruit blue chippers, you have these problems.

Scouts have the Hogs 2011 class ranked #9. FWIW I think internet evaluations are not that thorough.

Tyler Russell is a blue chipper

So are Bumphis, Chris Smith, Rob Johnson, and Mike Carr. Morrow, Brassell, and Singleton will be joining them. That's 7 blue chip WRs.

Actually...it's #10.

However, the class is pretty much full and will be passed by many teams.

You defintely live in your own world. I am very satisfied with Arkansas recruiting the last 3-4 seasons. By the way what were Oregon's classes ranked?

Anybody who follows recruiting rankings are delirious. There is no possible way to properly rank all the kids who play highschool football.

Oh they rank them and it is such an exact science that they are able to then divide the player rankings into a point system differentiating players down to tenths of a point.

Of course they do this not by watching player submitted highlight reels or who is recruiting players, instead each internet recruiting service is staffed with thousands of highly trained professionals who watch every player evaluated in person.

You are a joke if you think that is true "thousans of highly trainded proffessionals" Most of these services go by what high schools coaches say and film.

I recall seeing Clint post on hogville that he talked with a national rivals guy at the Fayetteville/HarBer game. I think he said something about them being very short handed right now and that they did not even know Allen had not thrown a pick all year.

Shortly after, Allen got his 4th star.

Coincidence?

Rivals depends on the local rivals writers to evaluate talent. This has two sides, one it helps get guys out in the stadiums and evaluate talent. The other side however is if you have a shitty rivals eval guy then the talent in your area will be judged to suck dick. The national guys aren't bad if they get a chance to see the talent however there aren't enough of them. Rivals does the best with what they have but jesus christ i've seen some arkansas recruits that are just players and go to these all star games and get mvp awards that are just 3 stars.

Apparently. Just by the Rivals’ “expert” seeing him automatically made him a better player. Before then he was just one of those lowly 3 star recruits. You know, like WRs Greg Child and Cobi Hamilton, OG Alvin Bailey (starter and ALL SEC Freshman Team), C Travis Swanson (starter and ALL SEC Freshman Team), LB Jerry Franklin, Jake Bequette, and many others.

The Hogs were very, very fortunate that D.J. Williams (5.8) Jarius Wright (5.8), DeQuinta Jones (5.8), Byran Jones (5.8), Jerico Nelson (5.8) Knile Davis (5.9) Joe Adams (5.9) and some others barely made a 4 star (MOST BY A TENTH) or otherwise they would have never been worth a damn. If you don’t believe that then just ask the Star Gazers who put more stock into winning the recruiting game over the actual game.

they are julio wannabes. Also they spend a lot of time dropping balls, JJ is a major problem but he isn't getting any help.

I haven't watched a ton of LSU this season, but from what I did see, they have some serious talent at WR. Tolliver, Randle, and Sheperd (sp?) could turn into one of the best corps in the league if they had a QB and system that could get them the ball more consistenly. If LSU is able to have a balanced attack with their new QB coming in, they could really do some things next year. However, With Crowton and Miles leading the show, I wouldn't bet the house on that happening.
