I am so grateful that I was a fan for that time period. It sucked soooooooooooo bad. And it has made our current success INFINITELY better, having never given up on loving Bama football.

I hope not. It's good for college football when Alabama is winning.

Georgia enjoyed Derek Dooley's tenure for sure. now it's back to tapping that arse 2006-2009 style.

Yes...no doubt about it.

Even when Alabama sucked, a lot of the games were still pretty close. There was always a little hope.

There was hope...until the camera panned to the sideline and there stood Shula with the deer in a headlights look. That is when I usually gave up hope.

I love that Bama's rivals only hope is for Bama to suck again.

You do know that this makes y'all look like you can't beat Alabama, and you know it, unless they suck.

Wish we had had blind goats at the helm during the late 80s and most of the 90s.

I still haven't seen this purported 15 years of suckage. Maybe 11 years and even those weren't all suckage.

1997 - 4-7
1998 - 7-5 beat Auburn, won bowl
1999 - 10-3 SEC Champs, lost bowl
2000 - 3-8
2001 - 7-5 beat Auburn, won bowl
2002 - 10-3 beat Tennessee badly
2003 - 4-9
2004 - 6-6
2005 - 10-2 crushed UF, beat UT, won bowl
2006 - 6-7 lost bowl
2007 - 7-6 won bowl

Lost by 20+ points 6 times.

Certainly not great, definitely some suck years in there, but overall not as sucky as this:

5-7 no bowl
7-6 lost bowl
6-7 lost bowl
5-7 no bowl
5-7 no bowl

Ummm...Stallings beat UT 5 out of the 7 years he was there, of which Fulmer was there for all of them, although he was OC until 1992. But if you just go by Fulmer's HC years, Stallings still was 3 and 2 against Phil.

Anyone who doesn't think their team will suck again has to be under the age of 22. No one knows when it will happen, but it'll happen.

Stallings coached at Bama from 1990-1996, and Fulmer started as HC in 1992. In 1992 Bama won 17-10, in 1993 it was tied 17-17 (I forgot we tied in 1993), in 1994 Bama won 17-13, in 1995 UT won 41-14, and in 1996 UT won 20-13.

Fulmer coached 4 games in 1992 and he was 4-0.

Am I on Tidefans all of a sudden? My post here defending Miles against another attack against him calling him an idiot was whacked?

No profanity, nothing inappropriate, just a bit of sarcasm toward an idiotic statement.

Way to go, SEC Rant!

That's right, that was the year that Majors had his heart surgery. I forgot about that.

But still, that makes Fulmer 2-1-1 against Stallings. That isn't much of a pwning IMHO.

I honestly think that LSU beats Alabama this year at Bryant-Denny. I don't fear Alabama - I loathe them. But, LSU has proven that Alabama is beatable - perhaps only by LSU, but still, the Tigers always match up well overall.
