Never understood why this was supposed to be a knock on Bama. The Yankees, Lakers, and Celtics have the biggest bandwagon fans in their sports because people like to associate with a winner. It's to their credit that they have mass appeal.
It doesn't impact my support of Bama one bit just because some people in parts of LA, TN, MS, and GA started pulling for Bama again once they started succeeding again. Why would it bother me? More fans means more people to support the team and become vocal supporters. That likely keeps the Bama name in front of kids in small towns in those states. It in some small way helps recruiting. So, when you talk about our bandwagon fans as if that's some sort of issue, my response is:
