Why was the LSU - Florida makeup game scheduled in Baton Rouge?

I have followed the ins and outs of this trainwreck.
Couldn't Florida host that weekend since they are able to play the game?
Seems like an unexpected advantage for LSU.

BR needed the dough. We obliged this year in return for two straight home games in 17 and 18 so it evens out.
It was the best solution available given the circumstances after the postponement due to the Hurricane.

it was in BR because we refused to play 3 road games in 12 days. So the easy solution was put game in BR so that way it only effects LSU and UF. Any other combination would require multiple sec teams to move their games around.
So its either LSU plays 3 road games in a row and short week, or we play a home game and get a short week like we had planned.
It will be badass next year going to multiple road games though

Well, JA got pissed that JF said "This game will be played in Gainesville" He was closed minded to the wait and see idea of playing Sunday or Monday. He drew a line in the sand.
JA became close minded about losing a home game, and said frick you Foley and Sankey, play it in Baton Rouge, or stfu.
There you have your answer.

Because BR is in the middle of a massive recovery after the flooding and needed the home game for the boost to the economy. Also LSU would have 3 road games in 12 days vs SEC teams.
FL now gets an amazing home schedule next year which their fans deserve after this year's home slate.

Foley ducked LSU the first time. Sankey was incompetent. LSU said to frick off. Foley and Sankey were forced to pull their cheeks apart. The End

LSU said they tried to play last weekend and Florida declined all options.
To play any other time in Gainesville, LSU would have to buy out a game and lose revenue from a home game. LSU said they wouldn't do it, but they would play if UF wanted to lose the home game revenue.
UF was kind to take a revenue hit this year. LSU was kind to give UF next year's home game.
Sankey is a weak leader and a whiner.

Because LSU has to make everything as difficult as possible and Alleva was trying to do something to save himself.
