Ya I was born in Manitowoc, WI and lived in the twin cities through high school....moved out west for college and eventually work brought me south

Which is ridiculous because Jesus was obviously black.

It wasn't too bad, I spent all my Summers at my relatives cabin on Lake Winnebago though I actually enjoyed living on the west coast more TBH

Not a lot of Lutherans or Swedes in New Orleans, either. And I'm both.

Well I can't speak on living there so I won't knock you for liking it but I have family in Woodbury and I hated visiting. Still hate it. Between U of M and the Vikings I just can't take it.

Move to northern Wisconsin or Minnesota. You can't throw a rock without hitting a Swedish Lutheran.

Oh from a sports perspective I'm with you 100% Vikings fans are bitter and insufferable to be around for football season....it's not bad country though

Well to get this thread back on track, I'm going to state that no one who has any experience with Oklahoma fans would willingly trade LSU fans for them.
Or any SEC fans, for that matter. I don't like to stereotype generally, but from my experience, They are a stiff-necked, humorless, unfriendly crowd that talks trash from the beginning of the game to the end. And they are ungracious losers.
You'd have a better chance of being struck by lightning on a clear, sunny day than getting a "Good game!" from an Oklahoma fan after beating them.
I fully expect the Aggie, Mizzou, and Hawg fans to agree with me on this. Just not a fun bunch of fans.

In this thread? Or just on the rant?
He hasn't shown up in this thread and I don't expect him to, or I'd have never mentioned it. Because I like my balls. He's actually a prof at the Lutheran Theological Seminary in Gettysburg. Best sermon I've ever heard was by him when he was a pastor (is that the right Lutheran terminology?) in the corn fields in Iowa. It made me want to stand up and shout. I was lucky that idiot Jerry Falwell had made a particularly stupid comment about America being a Christian nation, and he laid into him. It was brilliant.

Would probably be a good move for my skin, but going back to the motherland every year allows me enough time around "my people."

You've been to Sweden? How was it?
My mom wants to go and is trying to convince me to join her in finding some family grave. I've tried to tell her that we'll find plenty of Petersens but it'll be completely pointless. It's like a Smith visiting England to connect with long lost family. You'll find it but it probably isn't yours.

Yessir. I think you'll get a unanimous vote here. Nebraska, on the other hand, were weirdly better people and fans than OU's. Which you might not expect with NU basically being the only game in the state. Oops... don't mean to derail your thought. OP is an idiot (sorry, OP ), Catholics or not. Obviously there's more to it than religion.

Spent my summers there growing up and just recently spent a couple of weeks driving around the whole country. I love it there, it's a beautiful place with genuinely good people. I spoke Swedish before I spoke English.

And that makes you think OU would be a better fit in the SEC than LSU? Rhetorical question, because nobody is that stupid.
Nice chart, though. And "I like charts", too. Charts pay a lot of bills here, in fact.
Edit: Do you really truly live in Junction City? I'll never forget that town. That was the first time I was propositioned by a prostitute, headed to Riley for summer between Jr and Sr years. And every Friday when riding in the back of 2-1/2's there was a black kid from Alabama who started singing his song "Take me to Junction City!" and we'd all join in. Sadly those are the only words I remember, though I'm pretty sure it had something to do with female body parts.
