A catholic church and a baptist church are literally across the street from each other in my home town. The Catholic church has a nice small chapel and a few other buildings. The Baptist Church has a basement, 2 story buildings along with a two story sanctuary and a steeple that towers above the Catholic church

I honestly grew up thinking the whole world was Catholic with a few Jews here and there. When I was about 8 or 9 and realized there were other Christians my mind was blown

Yeah same here. I think I was in my late teens before I realized the rest of the south wasn't catholic. It still seems odd to me but not as odd as their funny redneck accents.
