The team has to expect to win, and play with confidence.
I don't think Florida has the offense to come back from 14 down in the 4th like Oklahoma, but we CAN'T play not to lose, we've got to Carry the fight to Florida, and keep it there for 60 minutes.

I expect that you will break the streak Saturday.
...damn it...I can't keep a straight face. I'm terrible at dead pan.

I don't think they're there yet. I also think having the OU game in control and letting it sleep away was a major psychological hit.
I think Tennessee will be too tight on Saturday. You're right, they can win if they play with confidence, but I'm not sure they will.

Forget running the ball...aint happening. We are only allowing 55 yds rushing per game and that is with so so offense.
Dont cover DRob so well that you neglect # 81 Antonio Callaway, a true frosh who is electric and making one handed catches. We are also, praise the Lord, throwing to our TEs McGee (injured before start of 2014 and granted sixth yr-he transferred from Va 70+ catches his last year) and Cyontai Lewis and Andre Goolsby all producing. Lewis may be out for this game...not sure.
RBs are good runners but not Fournette or Chubb level. We have young but talented OL and Martez Ivey, # 1 recruit in the country, played a lot in his first action since injury. Its servicable and we do have several true frosh that have been starting. Grier hasnt been sacked much and his quick lazer release is one reason. He developed happy feet against UK in certain situations, a trait he hadnt shown before....HC Mac will coach him up....on the bright side he made several nice runs....but dont need him injured.
UT will have to throw to set up run. Against our defense he has to be very accurate and have open receiver. OL will have to protect him a little bit better.
# 90 Bullard is a pure beast and a human vending machine. He will take guard/tackle and drag them right into the qbs lap. He has to be double teamed on passing downs. #14 Alex MacCallister is sneaky quick, almost 6'7" and will get to qbs with his wingspan. A lot of depth on the DL to rotate fresh legs. At LB we have Antonio Morrison and Jarrad Davis jacking ball carriers & receivers.
UT has good receivers such as North and Howard. They can expect physical all out hand to hand combat. Quincy will take Tabors spot...we are loaded at DB. Our second teamers would start at a lot of SEC schools. UT has to avoid richocets and tipped passes. Keanu Neal and Marcus Maye bring lumber, especially Maye.
Special teams is a question mark.
Could we lose this game? Yes....will we? Dont think so. UK threw everything at us determined to end 28 yr losing streak and they were home. I expect UT to be extremely determined to end our 10 game streak. If game were in Knoxvegas...I honestly would pick UT....but its not.
Our defense has to win the game for us. If we lose it will be because our offense/special teams made too many mistakes. The team that out rushes the other will win. Both teams coaching staffs know this and expect many run plays even though they arent successful many times...it serves a purpose. Sack yardage is deducted from rushing totals btw and if we can sack Dobbs 5 times....?
Will be a great game for outsider to watch.

It's going to be the same for Tennessee. Whoever wins is going to win it on defense, in my opinion.

When are we going fishing?

In all seriousness, Tennessee should seriously consider firing Butch if he doesn't win this weekend.
FL has a great recruiting class coming in, and contrary to popular belief, FL has executed much better on offense than any time during the Muschamp era.
The problem this season is the offensive line and lack of experience.
Next season FL will be very good.

FL has a much better secondary than OU so TN is going to have to establish the run. I do think OU has the better Dline and a lot more depth. OUs defense was fresh all the way through the game and depth on the Dline saved us in the 4th. TN is going to have to control the tempo and have a solid run game second half to win. Hurd should be able to wear that defense down eventually.

I'm really curious to see how this game unfolds. UT does look much improved even with the OU late collapse.
The UF Defense looks nasty, they could easily be in all their games until the final minutes just based on that.

Just stop it. You have no clue about UFs DL.
UF rotates TEN on the DL. But yeah no depth...

A recruiting class mostly of 3*s is great?? Holy shite this can't be a real statement

We're not firing him this year period unless he goes 3-9.
I just don't think you can discount how good Florida's defense still is, even with Tabor out, and what a difference it will make in this game.

LOL.
Hurd ran for 39 yards last year. We have plenty of DL depth as well. That's one of the areas Muschamp didn't completely fail.
If Hurd wears out our defense we should lose though. I mean, would you just look at him.

Mayfield is Houdini
I should remind y'all that Grier has only been sacked 4 times, less than both Mayfield (6) and Dobbs (5). He is far more elusive than you think.

Florida doesn't have WRS as good as Oklahoma
No doubt here, the one true WR who has shown up this year has been DRob. But it's not our WR's who will get you...it's our TE's, and there are 3 of them. McGee, Goolsby (who leads the team in receiving yards), and Lewis are huge targets for Grier, and Coach Mac loves to use TE's.

certainly doesn't have RBS as good as Oklahoma
Can't argue

I call BS. OU's WR's were horrible all game against UT. Both INTs were the fault of WR's either running the wrong route or dropping a ball right in the hands.
OU WR's had at least 4 drops in that game, and UF is way better at TE.
OU had better RBs.
OU's OL played like absolute dog shite in that game. They had 3 holding calls and 3 false starts that I can remember. They also botched the blocking a number of times, and not because of UT doing anything special - it was just OU fricking up. UF has kept the pocket pretty clean (80%) clean pocket rate. UK actually didn't pressure UF as much as I initially thought, Grier just had happy feet and took off running too many times.
Mayfield is better than Grier at this point though, I'll give you that.
The reason UT lost to OU though, is because UT is weak as hell at MLB and Nickel Back. Those two positions essentially blew the game for UT in the 4th quarter and OT. Malik Foreman might as well have been playing for Oklahoma in the 4th quarter and OT and the LBs outside of Maybin can't cover air.
UT is OK against the run, but can be had, especially if the QB can run too.
When you consider that, and the fact that Dobbs is inaccurate as hell and REALLY bad under pressure throwing the ball, UT's only hope is that the run game can control the game, and even that is inconsistent because the passing game isn't scary at all. It's just a bunch of screens and short stuff. They don't really take a lot of shots downfield.
If Florida's defense plays like they should, and the offense doesn't give UT points, UF should win.

I'm not worried about our defense.

Florida has only allowed 174 yards rushing...that's 58 yards per game. UT is gonna need to borrow Fournette from LSU
