It's just people complaining, but also Bama doesn't want Florida every year. UF has been Bama's best competition over the past 25 years.

There needs to be some realignment to make the conference more competitive.

Right now, the best team in the East could be no better than 3rd or 4th in the West.

Because it's the offseason and there's not much else to talk about.

OU fans infiltrated the board during NCAA tourney. They want out of the B12 so bad.

I think this is the reason; however, not that long ago, the East was the dominate division. These things normally swing back and forth with most all conferences.

I see no need for realignment. I am in favor of a 9 game schedule though.

Honestly I wish we'd have stayed at 12 and my reasoning has nothing to do with A&M and Mizzou.

It's an odd, unnecessary reaction by mostly reasonable, knowledgable fans who believe the SEC should play a 9 game conference schedule.

No.

Back then Florida was the dominant team. . .with an occasional UTk one off.

The West was still more than competitive during the big UF run.

Must be a real thing. Shaggytexas has a thread right at the top of their football board on this with 3.5 million views and over 53,000 replies over 1,072 pages.

Who knew this was so important to them?

The 6-1-1 current schedule comes from the demand of 4 teams, bama, UT, AU, and Ga. The rest of the league has been open to at least discuss changes. Of course, LSU gets criticized for seemingly wanting to avoid the gators. Which is not the case. But that set up is what is causing any imbalance now, and until the East gets stronger, the imbalance will remain.

B12 fans, because Boren is talking about it when he is not supposed to be talking about, guess he never watched "Fight Club"

Everybody else, offseason

My guess is that there won't be any major conference realignment for the next ten years or so.

Other than the Big 12, the conferences seem to be stable and satisfied for the moment. The Big 12 is thinking about adding Houston/Cinn/Memphis type additions. On the other hand, schools like OU, OSU and KU would likely bolt the first second the SEC or BIG made an offer to get away from Texas. But I don't think any offers will be coming since both the SEC and BIG are only interested in expanding to the mid Atlantic area - NC and VA. For the foreseeable future, that's not happening so everything stays status quos.

And LandThieves has one at around 170 pages, most of which are insults from a Nebraska fan (and the corresponding replies; you know its bad when a BAYLOR fan makes more sense). The rest, if everything was to be believed, has OU going to the SEC, the B1G, the PAC, independent, AND remaining in the Big 12 all at the same time.
