I have several close friends in Houston that are transplants from Louisiana. Houston people are awesome, for the most part, but people from other parts of Texas, not so much.
You so much as mention the word "Louisiana" and you get some snickering, some veiled racist comments about New Orleans and Katrina, and other such nonsense.
I never understood the animosity.
