Everyone has a plan , until the get hit in the face the first time. Stidham can not keep composure once he gets rattled.

Defense adjusted well. Very well.

Most deep ball routes have underneath options, too. It isn't like Auburn never ran a short or intermediate route. Stidham just had his eyes on the deep ball.

He hit two passes early and then spent 3 quarters trying to hit another, which he never did.

Also, lsu offense actually stayed on field for more than a few 3 and outs. Defense was somewhat rested.

I think you overestimate Auburn's passing trees. Intermediate passing has always been the issue with Gus. It's not a coincidence that every highly rated QB we've brought in has had the same exact problem. Stidham may have missed some reads, but the pass plays are elementary.

Goddammit, how many times do I have to say it? AUBURN ONLY RUNS ABOUT 5 PLAYS. And I might be overestimating.

I feel like it is the Gus Bus offense?

If the play calls are run, run, and then throw a bomb then no QB
will be very effective.

Not to this extent but Auburn has been the same under Gus for 5 years. Offense comes out lights out and runs up and down the field for a few drives. The defense adjusts and Gus has no option B for his offense.

Pretty much spot on. They run the 5 plays well as anyone I’ve seen. The shock and awe ends and unless they have an amazing lead they lose.
