He was throwing dimes early in the game.
I feel like it is the Gus Bus offense?

I wonder if he's still trying to play like he's in the big 12.

Dude came over to our section in the NEZ right after he ran out onto the field and knelt before us! It was a beautiful sign of what was to come in the day if you only sat and waited!

I'm a girl so excuse me cause IDK shite but it didn't look like they adjusted much or try anything different. It was like they thought their D could just keep us from scoring and they weren't worried.
IDK what happened but it was like someone flipped a switch in the locker room -- they came out ready to play for sure. And it was REALLY nice to see! Stadium was pretty darn loud for the amount of people there.

Yeah
But all kidding aside had some beautiful passes and AU was killing us on line

He clearly isn't the problem. The offense is and has been the problem the past couple of seasons.

Gus is using him incorrectly. He kept chucking deep when the mid to short range was likely there and easily the safer choice.
You can't run posts exclusively and expect success.
Auburn had HORRENDOUSLY play calling and that is far more troubling for them IMO than the onfield results of said plays.

And that Greedy kid is going to be a beast in the years to come.

Yeah no ... I seriously just want to know how the "transformation happened". AU had what .. 188 yards in the first qtr I read and not even that in the next 3 qtrs combined. WHERE DID THAT D COME FROM??? And seriously AU just looked like they shite the bed.

It’s like Gus goes into herp derp mode at terrible times when playing good teams. It’s like he thinks he can’t beat them straight up and must use his great intelligence to outsmart everyone.

The point out one time where he carried out run fake
It's like that works with your old qb nobody is worried about it with Stidham
With the line play he could have run and passed on us all day
I get the Gus Bus hate

He's a non-athletic QB playing in an offense that was designed for a dual-threat QB. He should have gone to a program that still uses a pro-style offense like LSU.

I thought he could make every throw?
Seriously though, some poor play calling was there, but he was off yesterday, like 9-25 or so? Actually, you take away the long pass to Hastings and he only had 116 yards passing. Dude was way overblown in the preseason.

Saw a lot of drops
Thought he was solid and just put in bad spots

Exactly. I could expand on that by pointing out that Stidham hit one other big pass play for 52 yards in the 1st quarter on their second TD drive. Take away those two passes (49+52 yards), and Stidham was 7/24 for 64 yards. Yes. 64 yards.
Why wasn't Stidham more effective? Because LSU took away the deep ball after those two passes, and Stidham was too stupid or too arrogant to realize it. That's why.

This and this. The entire week I was saying Stidham is a 4.8-4.9 guy only to be told “ have you seen him idiot!”. He’s slow and that’s ok for a pro style offense which, Auburn isn’t. Kid throws well but can’t run or handle pressure.

Can't remember verbatim the quote from Gus. "we throw deep and HOPE for a catch or interference call". Translation, hope we get lucky. Great strategy.
