I thought that sharing between schools was only done for bowls. Thereby, my question about UK football being a big dog.

Negative....all schools reap in the success....the cash is passed evenly to all schools in conference. In football, basketball, baseball, etc.

So, when UK and Vandy do well in basketball....then Barn gets the money as well.

Because their endowment is 2.8 billion...

Seriously, I think that's triple what the closest SEC team has (UF @ 1 billion)

Fact...

Vandy pisses on the rest of the SEC when it comes to donations.

Just having UK makes our basketball look better. Like just having Vandy makes our academics a bit more respectable.

Why is Vanderbilt in the SEC?

Vandy gives the SEC conf. some educational stability.
