After one year?

I mean, in 2010, the Iron Bowl was y'all's biggest game of the year, 2009 & 2008 was Florida, ect.

It was one year. Yeah, right now it looks like LSU/UA will be "The Game of the Century: Episode 3", but we haven't played a single down of 2012 football. It's like everyone proclaiming "dynasty" after 2009 and just assuming UA would repeat in 2010. It's ridiculous and short-sighted.

WTF is this shite?

Nothing makes me happier than beating UT. I'm 24. I really was starting to get into football around the time Tennessee started their long streak over us. I've savored those cigars I've lit up in Neyland Stadium the last few years.

There are about 10-15 on this board alone

But just like the Bama fans who don't care about Aubie as much, it is a minority.

Uh, negatory.

LSU is a big game. Big game =/= rivalry.

AU was still some Polytechnic institute, and besides that, there were FORTY YEARS where Bama and AU didn't even play each other.

Was there any reason for the 40 year stoppage of play? If this has been answered already I apologize.

What's your point here?

I mean the LSU battles have been epic for sometime now and wit the advent of our having their old head coach it has obvious implications.

The match will decide who is the BCSCG champ again this season as well.

If you want to know how most Bama fans feel look no further than one of their message boards. On the BamaMag Rivalry board their are currently about 10 topics about Auburn on the front page and the single topic about UT is about ending the series.

His point is that in no way, shape, or form has LSU passed UT as our rival.

I lost the hate for UT when fat boy was drummed out of Brushy Mountain institute. If Kiffin was still there I could believe in this game as a rivalry.

I can't lie to myself anymore and take this game seriously as the LSU or Arkansas game.

I'm moving to Nashville soon, so maybe the hate can be resurrected in my blood.

Who to ref, how much stipend to give to players, what season the first game counted for...

We were really just arguing for the sake of arguing.

The majority of Vols/Tide fans would probably say that each respective school is their second-most hated team (AU for them, Florida for us)...But the hate is still strong for both fanbases (*cough* NBamaAlum *cough*).

I'd say that Kentucky would be our biggest rival if they could manage to beat us more than once in every 28 years.

I have to disagree on both counts.
