Pretty simple really. Clemson has played in only two high profile games this year. It is an unfortunate string of years for the ACC, but because of the conference being down, it commands much less attention on the games and therefore on Clemson.

Ohio State was better than Clemson, everyone who watched that game knows that. Best team doesn't always win.

I don’t know who’s underselling Clemson.

I mean, going toe-to-toe with juggernauts like Virginia, Wake Forest, Louisville and North Carolina has them battle-tested and ready.

There’s so many quality teams in the ACC that no other team besides mighty Clemson finished with less than five losses (no, seriously, the ACC runner-up lost five games).

It’s not like the SEC where teams like LSU, Bama, Georgia, Florida and Auburn can all cakewalk through their powderpuff schedules and waltz to 11-15 wins in a given year.

When you really look at it closely, the ACC is more reminiscent of an NFL conference than a college football conference. There’s just so much parity that even the best teams can still lose five games.
