Other than 2012, with Manziel, what have they accomplished to make them worthy of any consideration, let alone respect? Their past performance doesn't indicate that Sumlin knows WTF he's doing and Chavis was the not answer to their perennially crappy defense.

Why 2012? Mediocrity is defined over the long haul, not just a few years.

Bottom Line: You are what we thought you were when you showed up...nothing special.

It's possible that we have a good year, but we just don't know yet. New QB, new DEs, and a terrible defense last year make it tough to be optimistic.

Come on now. You must be forgetting that you have that genius D.C. Chavis. That "Chavis" talk sure has quieted in Ag land. WHY?

Why do LSU fans talk about the Ags in a way that implies the Tigers have performed so much better than has A&M since we joined the conference

5 or 6 straight against A&M and the fact that many LSU fans don't watch other SEC games.

Why 2012?

How about because 2012 was the first year that both schools were playing in the same conference.

That's like asking why no one is talking about Cam Newton's NFL stats before 2011.

What is so funny is that A&M joins a football based conference and tries to wave their flag for everything but...

Water always finds its mark and for A&M, it is always somewhere around the middle regardless of the conference. Put up at some point or shut up.

We do our best when people expect little of us but I still don't expect us to have a good year.

Because Stidham.

He is at Auburn. Sumlin and Malzahn live and die by the QB.

We have him- so we get the hype.

They don't have a QB- they get the silent treatment.

Summy picked Starkle & Mond over Stidham. He's overrated AF.

I think there are two main reasons...

1-the way y'all finished last year and it seems y'all lost your marquee players (altho you may have others that have not been hyped)

2-your own fan base has been very silent this year. I suspect that many of y'all have given up on sumlin.

no matter, all it will take is some early wins and a team that looks like it's putting it together. the aggies probably have pretty much the same chance of winning the west as the rest of us not named bama.

You all thought we'd have multiple losing seasons w/no bowls and no hope for many years...

I'm not sure why he is getting shite for this. He picked the right move for the team long term instead of the short term fix that would be a naked effort to save his own arse.

Not sure I agree with this line of thought. Assuming you only get one year out of Stidham ( 2 would be even better), how would it present a negative long term?

Obviously the upside is a QB that is a significant advantage. Stidham could bust, be he's more likely to be all SEC & manufacture 2-3 more wins than any other option.

Mond is a raw true FR. I'm not sure he'll be ready next year. Starkel I don't see as a difference maker.. serviceable, but running him out there offers no upside & pretty much locks you into middle of the pack.

If I'm missing something please advise.. the choice to move on from Stidham had me puzzled from the start.
