They clearly have the talent.

rivals recruiting rankings Last 5 Years composite

Haven't heard much about any team being a "sleeper" except maybe Arkansas this year, but A&M could be that IMO. They've got a tough midseason stretch with Arky, Carolina, Bama, Florida, but two of those are at home and Auburn is at home.

What say you, Aggie?

We appreciate the optimism, but this season is going to be brutal for us. The only silver lining is the hope and promise that a new coach brings.

It's possible that we have a good year, but we just don't know yet. New QB, new DEs, and a terrible defense last year make it tough to be optimistic.

Aggots live and die by the q.b. under Sumlin. They don't have one this year.

They are my darkhorse. They have too much talent and if a few breaks go there way I can see them as a 9-3 club

I think they beat UCLA but as we all know the real test will be Nov for them as it has been.

There's not much optimism in the fanbase. Sumlin has lost most of us.

Personally, I'm still cautiously optimistic. We need the defense to finally make the turn and stop the run. There's reason to believe we'll be better in that department this year. And we'll need a good QB. Literally nobody knows what to expect from that position.

But you're right. We have talent. We'll see.

We could start out 5-0 and I still wouldn't be excited. Sad, really, but until Sumlin proves he can finish a season, there doesn't seem to be any reason to expect the team to do well.

Sumlin has the hottest seat in the SEC. No preseason hype is good for him

I predict they will start fast and fade late

Just like LSU will start fast, stumble in the middle and finish strong to give us hope for next season

Just like the last 5 years

Sumlin lost me at 59-0. History shows you don't recover from a dismantling like that. He lost the team that year, and then proceeded to lose 3 QBs. We should have fired his arse right then and there.

No clue.
But I'm not complaining.
After several years over here, I've learned that tSECr fans have been wrong about their predictions (*excluding Bama) every single season.
That's not intended as an insult; it's just fact.

I'm probably one of Sumlin's last remaining supporters, but I think he gets it done this season.
Not sure why the guy above said we don't have a QB.
As is usually the case, we probably have too many signal callers.

I like how our schedule unfolds.
Time will tell the story.

This thread will be like a pile of shite attracting the worst LSU posters and the dozen or so texas fans who obsess 24/7 over Daddy Aggie and their various alters
