Eh, just give it a little more time. Bryant can't win anymore games.

I'm not sure you understand winning percentage.

Like another poster said, LA hasn't produced wry many high level OL and QBs over the last 10 years. Also, linebacker crops haven't been very good until the last two years. Look at LSUs biggest struggles it has been at QB. Ryan Perrilloux was the last great one and we know how that turned out.

These are the answers I was looking for...as a outsider looking in all I see is LSU recruiting their entire state, they are getting all their best players plus top players from mississippi, texas and other states...that why I was asking why is LSU not great year in and year out

Now, to be fair, Bear was the biggest cheater ever, that is how he won so many championships. the 60's and the 70's should be erased from the record books, because the Bear basicly stole everything.

The bear found out how to beat the system, he cheated, and he won, congrats!

And of course I'm sure you believe everyone else in the SEC was as clean as angels during that time period, too. And if you don't then those teams have no one to blame but themselves for not being able to replicate Bryant's success.

After all…everyone was competing under the same rules as well as the same loopholes.

Well, I agree, we all had the same rules, but we were too late to try to take advantage of them, the bear was the pioneer. Wish it was otherwise

No…he really wasn't. You have examples of SEC teams as early as the 1950s - 10 years before Bryant arrived at Alabama - getting caught by the NCAA doing things they weren't supposed to. Auburn was on probation for paying players when they won their first national championship in 1957. They couldn't even go to a bowl game that year.

So you want to try again?

You overrate Louisiana talent based off of the 2014 class. Some years the state produces less than 20 bcs caliber recruits. Throw normal attrition on that number, two or three going elsewhere, and it isn't a talent pipeline that can put a program on cruise control. Also, the state historically hasn't produced many great QBs or offensive linemen and a lot of our highly rated players are at skill positions.

Les has won a lot of games with poor qb play. Partly his fault but he has had a bit of bad luck at that position.

Saban has been at alabma 6 years and he's won 3 National Championships...so in 8 year lsu has won 10 games in 6 years hmm, thats not bad, but you cant be that happy with that, that would be great numbers for a vandy or ole miss but your lsu with 5star players on the bench common.

Since les started at LSU , no bcs program has won more games. Since 2005 LSU and Bama both have 3 SEC west titles. LSU has 2 SEC titles and Bama has two SEC titles. You know the title you can't get VOTED into.

well, everybody tried to cheat, but nobody did it like the bear. I did not say he was the first, I said he was the master.

He would have to prove it with his future play but I thought he had the potential of being our next Bert Jones. That knucklehead.
