They did also beat JFF, and throttled USCe. They tanked after losing that atrocious UGA game (but still won out)...but then closed out winning @ FSU.

Those shitty games against Jacksonville St, ULL, Mizzou, and the Sugar Bowl gaffe are tough to look past, though....

Here is a pretty good interview from Pease on the offense.

LINK

quote:

When I look at it compared to what we did last year, we controlled the ball for 40 minutes, finished the game with the last 6:38 on the clock, rushed for 262, passed for 77% (17 of 22), we had 1 turnover, we had 9 explosives, we were 6 of 12 on third-down and last year at this time we were asking ourselves ‘what do we have to do on third down?’ We were 3 for 3 on third & one

quote:

When a team plays quarters coverage like Toledo, you don’t throw the ball vertically. You throw intermediate to check down throws. Did we try to throw the ball vertical in the red zone? Yes, we did. Well, they played coverage. So what does Jeff do? Jeff checks the ball down to Gideon. A guy bounces off Gideon, who runs for 15 yards, gets a first down, and now we’re in position to score.

I personally have high hopes for this UF team. I feel like USCe will be the game that decides the East IMO.

I don't like going into USCe at all this year. They will be extra motivated because of last year

Because Jeff Driskell is about as respected as Jordan Jefferson when it comes to playing QB.

I think it mostly has to do with the Gator brand. People are used to seeing UF with an explosive offense and running people out of the stadium and what you see now is the antithesis of that. A 24-6 score and people automatically assume we played poorly.

Why the hell has Miami made such odd HC hires since Coker, anyway?

his QBR's

#23 Tennessee: 83.0
#4 LSU: 18.8
#7 Scar: 50.9
#10 UGA: 19.0
#10 FL St: 36.6
#21 Lou: 17.6
#24 Auburn (2011): 7.6

wether or not you think qbr is better or worse than the traditional passer rating, his numbers are bad.

He's not contributing to those wins like you think he is?

So stats are more important than wins?

Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl? Is he a Hall of Famer? Is Marino?

Wins are much less indicative of a single player's ability than his individual statistics are.

Florida beat Scar...therefore Driskel is better than Clowney. Because, you know, wins.

Season long avatar bet? I am more confident in the Miami game than any other "big" match up by a mile. Miami has the worst defense of the big names(LSU, FSU, Georgia, USCe), and the worst offense. At least vs good teams.Vs ranked teams last year they were worse on defense than those four teams and us by a mile, and also the worst offensively including us of the group. Miami looked bad vs Duke, Boston College, Georgia Tech, UNC as well. They had shoot outs vs teams that averaged 20 PPG. They allowed teams to run for 300+ yards multiple times. Miami is bad. I will bet this with anyone here, we beat them. It won't be in doubt.

I think it'll be lose for awhile, but our superior depth and talent in the trenches will pull away after halftime.

Edit: They're having a white out against us though. :omg:
