Why Is Florida so Underrated?

I get that we shite the bed in the Sugar Bowl. I get that our offense is far from the sexy, prolific offense people are accustomed to from the Spurrier and Meyer days.
But we won eleven games last season (seven conference games) against undoubtedly one of the most difficult schedules in the nation. Our defense is littered with studs and future first round picks. Our offense isn't sexy, but that's mostly by design.
I find the SECr's lack of faith in UF disturbing.
Can someone give me an explanation that isn't "LOL Mett > Driskel" or "Louisville LOL"?
TIA

Eta: not fair, but it is the last time that the entire nation tuned in (for what it is worth, Bama won a natty the year after shitting the bed in the Sugar against the utes).

Florida is underrated, but that's because they win ugly.

TBH, yall had a good season last year, but it was ugly.
I think most think pretty highly of UF's defense, ibut no one on the offense scares anyone.

LSU struggled to put away Towson at home, which is even more embarrassing.
Also, 14-6

You can call your offense ugly by design but it still sucks

You sound like an LSU fan now.

Can't deflect my point without taking a shot at my team?

Its that Louisville loss and no one is afraid of the passing game. Freshmen kicker that missed a 29 yarder don't help either.

Simple answer. Everyone underrates defense.
Always have, always will.
Always have, always will.

Our offense will be one of the more effective offenses in the SEC in what we're trying to do.

Florida reminds me of LSU 2010. Defense is crazy good and will keep every game close but the offense is bad enough that it might not be enough in a lot of games.
Could be mediocre or go 11-1.

Terrible thread. Switch your team logo to LSU please.

Ugly wins aren't impressive. Wins are wins, but ugly wins are easily attributed to luck, chance, one or two bad calls against the other team, etc., which leaves fans of good teams thinking their team can handle a team like UF pretty easily, regardless of if that mindset is warranted.

But seriously..Florida has been in a rebuilding phase. You won't get the highest praise for not winning your division, let alone the conference. You should know how it works around here.

You didn't really make a point that wasn't applicable to a lot of other teams who don't seem to have any problems getting recognition.

You obviously haven't been paying attention to the rant today because you're doing it wrong.
All you need to do is play and beat a TCU and you can proclaim yourself to be all world apparently and everyone will proclaim your QB as a first rounder and your offense as the best in the conference.
