But the Rant needs to make up their mind bout him. Either he's a shitty coach or he's the hottest name on the board for every job that opens up.

Nothing wrong with that. Bruce is a good coach.

Kentucky had a horrible experience with the phrase "Coach in Waiting" with Joker Phillips after Rich Brooks, so KY fans would absolutely hate any scenario like that.
