I've already said the SEC will beat each other up this season.

They would rather the SEC be overrated than give A&M any credit.

Absolutely shameless

Defense is better due to guys having a year to get more lead in their pants/infusion of freshman talent and new DB Coach.

Kenny Hill is doing a good job of running the offense. OL, WR, RB's were never considered to be a concern.

Those who follow the program closely are not suprised the Aggies are improved this year and expect them to be better next year.

Why don't we wait till they play someone worth a frick before we start saying they are better without Manziel. Atleast he beat bama once.

We thought OP was actually asking a football question of fans who follow the program. Not trying to turn this into a flame.

A&M came into the SEC with a defensive roster that was thin even by B12 standards, and then lost the key guys in 2012.

Just now have enough guys for a decent rotation on defense.

His improv skills make for good highlights but for bad football strategy.

(….although Bama was overrated.)

Down year for D1 in 2012, I suppose.

Sumlin using the spurs this year.

After Speedy Noil made a long runback Sumlin chewed him out and told him he "didn't bring him here to fall down at the 4 yard line."

Because 22 players start, and 50ish play?

Defense. Very simple. The Aggies put over 40 on Auburn and Alabama and lost both games due to the worst defense in football litterally. If they would have even been #75 in defense they likely would have been undefeated under Johnny. Not his fault.

If you are hoping to have a serious discussion about football, the SEC Rant simply is not the place to make that attempt.

The quotient of barely-sentient trolls is just too high.

The following post encapsulates the entire mentality:

Aggiegreen is right on the money. Johnny posted monster numbers against 'Bama and Auburn, but our defense was so atrocious, that it didn't matter. We win those games and he doesn't get hurt, then what could have been would have been pretty damn sweet.

But I like this team. Hill has been stellar in the pocket, our wide receiver corps is solid from top to bottom, and the weakest aspects of our defense so far last year has been strengths no less through 2 games. We keep that up and sky is the limit.....

when your offense scores 42, you *should* win every game...

I also blame johnny for A&Ms #121 ranking in total defense
