I would pull for anyone in College football vs OU in bowl game... especially a team from the SEC. Would pull for LSU against any of the teams in Texas or OU that we compete with for recruits.

We lost more than anyone else on defense by far after last year and still finished in the top half of the conference. Not saying we were great but have you seen A&Ms defense?!

That's probably the reason many LSU fans pull against Bama. You compete with UT or OU, we compete with Bama. If it's logical for you, it's logical for us.

Where did I ever say anything about LSU leaving or anything even remotely close to what you are saying? I stand by what I said. SEC pride means jackshit. Sure schools may get a few more recruits, money, and other things but that doesn't guarantee wins.

Spoken like somebody who hasn't had to recruit against and play and interact with Alabama for the last thousand years.
We expect to compete with them and beat them, not ride their coattails. What's good for Bama is not good for us. Might be great for you, but you aren't even on their radar. We're the date they circle on their calender every year.

Never once said that. But, please tell me where ANY of that means that a team will for sure win enough games to play in either the SEC title game or NCG or even both? The better Bama does does not mean the better the all SEC teams perform. Tell me how SEC pride has helped Kentucky, Vandy, Tennessee, or Miss St.

That's funny coming from a former Big 12 fan. In 2005 or 2006, other conference fans couldn't understand the "SEC, SEC, SEC" chant, claiming they'd never support their rivals. Now that the SEC is clearly the top conference and a repeat of the 2004 Auburn snubbing is not likely to happen some SEC school fans are starting to look out for themselves and recognize that a team like Bama can steal 5 star recruits if they keep winning.
