Did you happen to catch Shep getting blasted on his first couple of carries? Dude wasn't used to that kind of contact, even in the Houston 5A league.

Nobody in HS could catch him. Now in college, he's going to have to adapt.

percy came in and got lit up a few times his freshmen year. Urban Meyer was still smart enough to get the ball in his hands as much as possible.

P. Harvin 2006 = 75 touches, 864 yards, 5 TD, and he missed 2 games with injury and only played for like 1 quarter against WCU that year. SECCG MVP.

Its a pattern. He shows up, sets records in his first year, and then tails off to the point of getting fired by his third year.

Beat's the hell out of me! Maybe he & Les can go somewhere together after next season. Awful OC! should have been fired after season However Les has no balls.

i could be completely wrong but I dont think coaching is the problem. I think LSU has or atleast had poor talent on the OL. I dont care who your OC is if you cant block for your qb and rb RS and RR will not make the impact they could have. Not saying bad decisions werent made by Miles and Crowton just that with a bad OL it does kind of limit what you can do.

There is some truth to this as their offensive line rarely gets a push anymore at the LOS. Their defensive line was the same way much of the past 2 years.

Shep, while explosive, was not strong enough last year, and could'nt block, and was prone to fumble --- that's why he didn't play much.
