You're getting a little ahead of yourself, baw. Also jokes on you, because I acknowledged Butch as a subpar coach quite a while ago, but you're still in denial about butter tooth. It won't be pretty when the realization finally hits you.

I will never understand why Foley cancelled the game when all the other games impacted by the storm were played on that weekend - just like when LSU moved the Tennessee game in 2005 to Monday night.
Foley had the model to use, LSU recommended it, Foley's petulance prohibited rational discussion on the original weekend. The game should have been played Sunday, October 9th. Why wasn't it?
Dude now you know you can't use facts in this thread Foley did all he could do on this matter

that's the thing; you pussies act like the ONLY solution was for LSU to CANCEL their home game and play you where and when YOU DICTATE.
frick you man. your ignoring the facts and continually spinning lies may fool some but hopefully most are smarter than that.
your adm ducked that game and refused to even consider an alternative. you live in hurricane country and are too stupid to have contingency plans? give me a break; it was a blatant attempt to manipulate the regular season results.

quite simple
ample options were given to florida to play that sunday or monday in florida, even with lsu agreeing to fly in and out on the same day as to not take hotels from potential evacuess. florida waited so long to do anything, it forced the SEC to cancel, then postpone. which worked out perfectly for a beat up florida team.
at that point, lsu was fine not playing it. why should we? florida showed no interest in playing it, when multiple games were played in florida that weekend, so, we moved on.
then everyone else started bitching about well if florida makes the SECCG, or now they're not even qualified etc, so the game had to be played.
the only weekend that worked for both came on this weekend, and LSU simply said we are playing a home game on 11/19, regardless the opponent. we had to refund money for a home game last year because of a stupid lightening storm, BR took a massive hit this summer, and LSU said the BR economy will benefit from a home game on 11/19.......and the SEC said OK, forida you're going there.
and now florida is coming here.......beat the hell up.....that's how its a home game for LSU....and florida will get 2 years at home in return.
had florida just said fine, we'll play sunday or monday (lsu played tenn on monday in 2005 after the 2nd major storm hit Lousiana) we wouldn't be where we are today. thank florida.

It is the second part of that article that highlights an issue that has bothered some around UF over the last few years. Had a good thing going with SunSports that had to be set aside for the conference to move forward with the SEC Network.

But it's fine for UF to cancel 2 home games to accommodate LSU because they couldn't afford to lose a single home game?
LSU used a hurricane to try to swindle an extra home game this year. The next time Louisiana gets hit by a massive hurricane, I hope that Florida's response isnt "how can we help?", but instead "Hey I have an idea! Let's play your home game in the Swamp!"

Wow, you're really gonna use this line against LSU fans of all people? You need to get your mama's titty out your mouth long enough to realize that your school punked out in this deal. Not LSU. Plus, I'd bet dollars to donuts you dont know shite about real loss so why dont you sit the frick down and shut the frick up and let the adults handle conversations about ADULT topics. Cry baby bitch.

This is the main issue. Florida fricked it up completely at the time.
Now I have to say that LSU has not handled it well since. The latest with the fan location in the stadium. It is really not that big a deal.. buy why keep bringing more shite into the mix? Just let it rest, damm this is good game between 2 ranked and historic programs. A division of the conference is on the line, maybe a sugar bowl birth.... can it just be about the game itself? All this shite is just old by now.

Correct. This is what happens when your incompetent AD fricked the situation up during the week preceding the Hurricane.

This is true. Alabama and Florida own this conference and every other school in the conference answer to Alabama and Florida.
And that "incompetent AD" is 1000x the AD that LSU or any other school in the conference could ever dream of having and I'm sure that deep down every single one of you would love to have an athletic department as successful as the one Jeremy Foley has built.

It'll be so nice when there are zero UF posters here after Saturday

Florida's stance the whole time was that the game could be played Saturday at noon.
It turned out, the game could have been played Saturday at noon.
The SEC is the reason the game didn't get played as scheduled. Then in the aftermath, LSU had no incentive to get the game rescheduled beyond getting the extra home game and Florida HAD to play the game to go to Atlanta. So LSU put their foot in the ground and Florida proved to be the "bigger person" and play the game in Baton Rogue. LSU threw a temper tantrum like a bunch of little bitches.
