El Paso sucks. I could go for Las Vegas. However, the Alamo Bowl would be the best. San Diego would be a good one too.
I would much rather a shite bowl matchup in Vegas than Shreveport. San Diego would be awesome. Aren't the chargers trying to get a new stadium by the convention center and isn't that close to the Pacific?

One of the great tragedies of college football has been the Rose bowl never allowing the great PAC teams to play anyone but big 10. I
I hear people say this, but SEC teams HAVE played in the Rose Bowl, even before the BCS. But the Sugar Bowl has never allowed/invited a PAC team. Ever. So The Sugar is even more unwelcoming. The Sugar would rather have an SEC team play Louisville, or Hawaii, or St. Mary's or some crap. And I get it. The Sugar wants an SEC team to win it. It makes financial sense.

Remember several years back they changed the rules at the end of the season so that the 18th ranked team from the Big 10 could still go to the Rose bowl so #18 Illinois could go? I hate Jim Delaney.

No, I don't remember them changing anything. I remember it always being the case that if a Bowl loses a team to the BCS NCG then the next team in line from that conference gets to go. The Rose lost Ohio State to the NCG, and The Sugar lost LSU to the NCG. #2 in the Big 10 was Illinois, so they get to go. And UGA got to go the Sugar. If you think for one second that the Sugar was going to let UGA go play out in the Rose Bowl instead of Atlanta, you are insane. The Sugar was going to fight tooth and nail from being the Illinois-Central Florida bowl or whoever the hell it was going to be.
