Actually it's because people from Louisiana are short.

"you start this thread every year"

First thread I've ever started about this subject. I just don't understand why LSU fans have abandoned their basketball program the last 15 or so years. Alabama has averaged nearly 13,000 for the home SEC schedule during most of Grant's tenure despite having mediocre borderline NIT/NCAA teams. Most of the other teams I mentioned (other than Alabama and Miss State) have terrible histories so they have an excuse for poor attendance. LSU has a proud basketball past and a fanbase that use to care. What happened?

It's the third sport behind football and baseball.

Not a good excuse but it is what it is. Tiger fans are going to put their money towards those two sports before basketball.

Plus the arena is a piece of shite. Although the basketball facilities have improved immensley

I'm pretty sure baseball is the non contact game here.

And I like baseball, but let's be real.

No. Where did I say that?

You said soccer is for pansies, which is interesting since you're taking up for baseball and it's a non contact game.

Baseball, basketball, and soccer are all contact sports.

A non-contact sport would be tennis or track and field

I harp on it because I'd like the league to be good and for SEC fans to care again. SEC basketball is better when teams like LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, and Tennessee are good like they all were during the 70s, 80s, and 90s. The other traditionally great and good programs (Kentucky, Florida, and Mizzou) are doing their part on the court and in the stands. The other traditionally solid programs I mentioned with the exception of LSU have fanbases that care. I don't understand why LSU fans don't seem to care.

I miss those days. Yeah, I wish LSU had a better following as well tbh
