Except you're wrong. TCU and Baylor are having more success and Texas is still, well, Texas....and don't forget OU. It's equally true you could prove your point by playing them n this Texas bowl and kicking some whorn arse.

That wasn't even a troll. Texas is just like tech of baylor to us. If they weren't, we would still be playing

It's a good reward but they're still on top for another year. Next year I think it may become necessary for TAMU to at least feign challenging Texas head on.

Because A&M losing to their rival would be disastrous

Half the shite A&M does revolves around Texas. You guys literally chant about beating Texas while you're playing other teams.

1. As has already been pointed out we offered to continue the rivalry.
2. TAMU does not have to play Texas. TAMU's schedule will - as long as the SECW is good - have a top 10 schedule in difficulty.
We are not the school complaining about the unattractive games and so forth. Also not the school hurting for ratings and the like. We appreciate your concern, but we are just fine and happy in the SEC and are having no issues garnering excitement.

2013. He said the same thing. Your point?
A bowl game is an outlier from resuming a series or annual game.
If Chip Brown is the mouthpiece of Texas it must mean THEY want to play the game.
Does Texas A&M? Someone needs to be re-asked.
I believe Missouri would play any XII'er any time, any where.
But we don't have in-state prestige and recruiting on the line either.

First, the result of the A&M/SC game has nothing to do with this conversation. So ok...
Also, I know what it is like to lose a whole bunch to our rival. It hurts. A&M is just as much Texas's bitch as South Carolina is Clemson's with the overall series record.
However, at least my school didn't puss out when we joined the SEC.

and every single one of Texas' tradition come directly because of us. But it does matter. All of that shite started over 100 years ago in a situation that was 1 trillion percent different from today. Texas isn't a&ms rival, its just a program we've played a bunch of times like Baylor

Every single tradition? Sounds like a rivalry.

I think that if ATM loses to texas it would not matter that much in term of recruiting.
ATM is winning recruiting battles mostly because fo the opportunity to play in the SEC.
If atm lose it would probably because of a shtty D with no coordinator and a freshman QB.
Texas has swOOPS! as qb.
ATM should like their chances IMO.

Well, our 2 schools have that much in common then.

You're basing that on... what? Chip Brown?

You're just blowing past the points people are making.
TAMU offered to continue the rivalry, and then has proceeded to act in a manner indicative of not wanting to do so. Fans of A&M, like you, are uniformly spouting about how Texas isn't even a rival and they don't need to play the game. There has been no genuine effort to restore the game.
Additionally, A&M people are being purposefully obtuse in pretending that the only basis for adding Texas would be for schedule difficulty. The purpose would obviously be to avoid slipping back into a competition for second place in Texas football, and is apart from your conference hopes.
I know A&M traditionally isn't as Texas-focused as UT, and that being an integral part of Texas is less important to A&M fans, but I still think A&M will want to stake a claim in the near future if Texas continues to rebuild. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd find it hard to believe my team would just abandon the battle for the state.

Can someone tell me why Bama and Auburn pussed out for 40 years?
Posted on 12/1/14 at 9:06 am to FT
I'm a current student at a&m. Most of the current population just doesn't care. We play them? Cool. We don't? Cool as well
