Mike Stoops is not going to be on UK football staff. He chose to stay at Alabama as an analyst.
And why would a coach like Stoops stay as an analyst over taking an assistant gig with his brother?

Because he’s a shitty coach. I doubt Mark offered him anything

Does it matter? He's far and away the worst coach of the Stoops'.

People for years have been asking how many analysts and support staff Saban needs, what't the limit on the # he can hire, how much can they interact with the players, why do guys want to work for him, etc....

Some analysts do real work. Most are hired for a year or two that are in close association with a big time recruit and their job is to help land that recruit.

I have a 2nd cousin who graduated from bama and was an analyst for the football team post graduation (he also worked at UGA and LSU prior to bama). He left and went with Pruitt to Tennessee. He was tired of being part of such a large staff with minimal input. Could be part of why some leave. Of course money always comes in to play also once it's your job and you're not just a fan.

Pretty sure everyone has analysts. Bama’s just happen to be ex-head coaches

Last I looked, Auburn had more analysts than Alabama.

Not sure what the titles of all the staff were, but Auburn had way more of them in total.
It's been a few years since I saw it. I was legit surprised.
