So you disagree with this statement? So Saban left in 2005 ( you do know this right?) but he still gets the credit for our sustained success? I guess everything is still Bush's fault.
Seriously, I can't get over Ole Miss fans thinking they have the recent chops to tell LSU fans how irrelevant we are, will be or would have been.... That 8 win season has obviously gone to your head.

Probably because you're the only school, outside of Arkansas, with no other major universities. Luck of the draw I guess, but it's pretty pathetic how under-accomplished LSU's history is. I mean less bowl wins than Ole Miss and equal National Championships as Ole Miss? We have two other universities in Mississippi. LSU has ULL with a whopping 4 postseason appearances.

As much LSU prosperity as Saban was responsible for in the past, he is now a competing SEC West coach. It is now his job to take this prosperity away from us, through recruits and playing head-to-head. That will not sit well with many fans. Neither will the Mulligan Bowl.

There's plenty to not like. Most deserved, some stems from jealousy.
If Freeze quit with no notice on Jan 1st after lying numerous times about quitting with supervisors,players and media.....
Make disparaging remarks after leaving Ole Miss, this after str8 up lying for months........
Take the job at your Miss. State...... and have unprecendented success.
He's made it easy on us to not like him. But most LSU fans do respect his abilities as a Head man of a major powerhouse. He knows what he's doing and is tireless. Much respect there.
Saban needed LSU as bad as LSU needed Saban at the time. U would think Saban would say this at least once , but thats not his style.
LSU was going to get a good coach with that money they were throwing around, either way. Saban was pissed at MSU and wasnt even looking around. Lost at what his next move was.
LSU reached out to him, not the other way around. Gotta give LSU credit for finding one of the very best ever and hiring Gil Brandt to assist with this.
One certainly could argue Nick owes LSU more than LSU owes Nick.
