Actually there is, Florida has been without its starting quarterback and it has greatly affected their offensive production.

Zero
They are to look at the entire resume. If one does that with no preseason or program bias, its very easy to rank the SEC:
1. LSU
2. Florida
3. Ole Miss
4. Alabama
5. Texas A&M
6. Mississippi State
7. Arkansas
8. Tennessee
9. Georgia
10. Auburn
11. Kentucky
12. South Carolina
13. Vanderbilt
14. Missouri
Those last 3 could go in just about any order.
As for the national picture, none of the BIG 12 teams deserve in that Top 4. Not at this point in the season because none of the Top 4 teams in their own conference have played each other to date, and outside of Oklahoma playing Tennessee, no one has played an OOC opponent worth a dime.
The Top 4 ought to be:
1. LSU
2. Clemson
3. Michigan State
4. Iowa
I don't care that Iowa plays in an easier division than Ohio State. Ohio State has not played the tougher teams in their own division yet (Michigan State & Michigan), so that does not matter. If you compare Iowa and Ohio State, Iowa has a better in-conference win (Northwestern or Wisconsin compared to Penn State) and they have a better out-of-conference win (Pitt compared to Virginia Tech).
If the committee has Ohio State, Baylor, TCU, or Oklahoma State in their Top 4, they are not doing their job.
The only other teams that could be in the Top 4 right now ahead of either Michigan State or Iowa would be Notre Dame or Florida, because both of those teams have only one loss by virtue of playing the two best teams (Clemson & LSU). I think LSU gets the #1 spot ahead of Clemson because of their win over Mississippi State, which is a better win than Clemson's 2nd best win (NC State I guess?)

Alabama gets much more credit for blowing out a top 10 Georgia than Florida does for blowing out a 5-2 Georgia
In fairness we get more credit for beating a top 3 Ole Miss team than Bama does for bea.... Oh wait.

Bama lost to Ole Miss at home by 6 while turning the ball over 5 times. Florida blew Ole Miss out with the Rebs turning it over themselves
Man Bama and FSU have the same mistaken perception of Florida's win over Ole Miss- the Black Bears only had 1 Turnover during the competitive part of the game, Florida was up 25 before they forced a second Turnover.

The commitee will have UF ahead of Bama. They proved to me last year they rank bettr than the retarded media

You want to get it right?
Conference champions go to the playoffs. Period. Want to play for all the marbles?
Win your damn conference.
Jesus, it's not fricking rocket science.
