I know a lot of the SEC schools use to play in different cities such as Bama in Birmingham and Ole Miss/MSU use to play in Jackson some but the only team that does it now a days is Arkansas. Why? I know Fayetteville is all the way in the northwest corner of the state but its not like there's something wrong with their stadium or campus.

If I was a flagshipper I would prefer to play all games on campus but that's just me

Central location in the state gives fans from east Arkansas a chance to go to at least one game a year.

I get that but Knoxville isn't in a central location either but our fans still come from the west side of the state for games. Although we usually play at Memphis every four or five years

The main reason why, boosters. Also Arkansas is located in the FAR north west corner so fans on the east side of the state do not get to come to a game since it's 5-6 hours away for them. LR game gives them only a 2-3 drive instead.

I'm all for moving all games to Fayetteville. Growing up in Little Rock I never had a problem with the arrangement. Beyond selfish reasons I never saw a reason for games in LR though.

I'd still like to play games in B'ham from time to time, so long as we don't play at Legion but a new super stadium.

But we don't. University makes more money. I guess it's the way it goes. And on that note: Arky needs to nut up and knock off playing in LR.

Because a segment of our fan base is too stupid/lazy/poor/drunk to drive their asses to Fayetteville.

BTW I am from Central Arkansas, hate the LR games, and want all home games moved to the actual campus.

That's one reason I asked bc most ark fans seem to really dislike LR games

It is an issue of tradition going back to before 1990 when WMS was actually a larger/better stadium than DWRRS... (we didn't even have lights up their until 1990)

The number of games has been reduced over the years, but no AD has had the balls to pull all the games out (nor will they anytime soon)...

That's a different situation though that's where that specific game is played where as Arkansas just plays random opponents in Little Rock. Much like Bama and Auburn use to do but discovered that its now the 21st century and its dumb
