Why does Alabama worship the coach and not the University or Athletics?

I love the university and all athletics.
Would happily trade one of our football nattys for a final four or CWS.
I agree that the football team over shadows everything at Bama. It is a great school and only getting batter, with very good athletics, great campus and town.

Thank you for your questions. We think highly of Nick Saban and Bear Bryant because they are two of the greatest football coaches of all time and won many championships at Alabama. We also very much enjoy our university and our athletics. Perhaps a tour of the campus is in order.

Unlike Auburn, we realize sustained success is based on good coaches... not just great players that come along every now and then.
