I think that's his point. UF generally does pretty well as a whole in baseball but then chokes at the single most important time.

With that much pitching talent Florida should have done it this year. It's not like they had terrible hitting either. Could have been stronger at the plate, but definitely had the pitching to make up for it. It's baffling why Florida didn't have a better showing in Omaha. Sully is a good coach, but man did they squander the talent on this year's team.

3-2 and 2-1 defeats say otherwise. That's really good pitching and no run support.
UF had Alonso as the only reliable hitter.

All I know is they had it set up perfectly this year and with that pitching depth they should have won easily. Offensively, they were not as good as advertised. Reed did not have a big year. Outside of Alonso they had no power.
