Why do the Florida Gators constantly underachieve in baseball

Every year they're highly ranked and a top seed. They always have some of the best talent on their team and destroy the regular season. Then they get to Omaha and completely shite the bed. Are they never going to get over the hump? How has the baseball program never won a title?

After today, there will only be one national seed left in the tournament, EVEN IF Florida pulls it out.

They've had the baseball talent and right coaching to have a national title by now. Don't really understand it either.

They haven't been "great" since April. Not sure what changed but they just aren't that great.
SEC got benefits of doubt on how good it was this year. There isn't an SEC team that should even be in Omaha.

This is so true. That Florida team that SC beat for the title in 2011 was one of the best teams I've ever seen in college baseball. It seems like they have similar teams every year.

They're up there with FSU, Miss St, and Georgia Tech as those teams that are so consistently in the discussion as being a top program that it's hard to believe they've never won a national title

Presumably, right around the time to win the CWS they realize that football season is just around the corner and they stop caring.

It will happen, eventually.
KOS seems tight, and I think UF plays that way in big games. Either way, they will eventually win one. This year they don't have the bats.

Florida has been to Omaha 5 of the 9 years O'Sullivan has been there. Yeah that's awful. Such underachievers. /sarcasm

Florida has no Rally Possum equivalent. That is the only logical explanation for our Omaha futility. Need some Rally Jorts, Rally Mullet... something to break the spell.
